Electronic Procurement Contractor
Primary Function
He/She will support procurement professional’s team within HP Central Direct Procurement Services organization (CDPS), with focus supporting Large Format Printers (LFP) and 3D business.
He/she will be accountable for day-2-day interaction with strategic vendors and manufacturing partners mainly related to PCA technologies, from a business and technical stand points, with main focus in Current Product Support (CPE). He/She will work in an international organization, interacting with suppliers and organizations worldwide. He/She will have to work very close with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Depts and other Supply Chain teams to understand production requirement and needs, cost insights while driving quality and delivery for commodities under his tenure. He/She will have to master the market related PCAs manufacturing and EE components suppliers, continuously improving Cost, Quality and Assurance of Supply.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for the sourcing of several technologies which includes, but not limited to:
？Anticipating the business needs by working closely with Operation and Process Engineers, other Supply Chain Engineers and Quality/Process/Buyers from Manufacturing partners and from other HP Businesses.
？Autonomously drive vendor improvement and continuous Quality improving by issue resolution, vendor audits and expertise in the technology managed.
？Manage Cost, Manufacturability, Quality, AoS and drive Cost Reduction and / or resourcing projects.
？Considering the entire product life cycle needs.

• Responsible for the day to day management of the assigned suppliers which includes:

？Integrating the needs of all the CPE Programs and entities (LFP, CDPS, Global
？Manufacturing Operations, Distribution Centers,…) and driving their results.
？Drive/Follow-Up with vendors for resolution of Quality issues, Cost Reduction and/or PCN/ECN/EOL.
？Maintain a strong partner relationship by building personal empathy and thru proactive and fair interactions.
？Leading HP internal alignment, ensuring consistent messages to the vendors.
Ensure the procurement technical deliverables are met,
？including parts/subassemblies specs clarification, manufacturing processes, tooling,
？quality control plan, assurance of supply, prototypes for builds, metrology, ICT/FCT/Boundary scan
The perfect candidate holds Bachelor's (or upper) Degree majoring in Electrical or Electronics Engineering. If this requirement is met we would be happy to have candidates with:
Minimum 4 years of experience on PCAs and EE components as Strategic Sourcing Engineer, as Design Engineer, as Field Application Engineer, as Manufacturing Engineer, or equivalent. Experience in electrical subsystems such PCB, PCA (design and manufacturing and testing), Boundary scan techniques, ASIC, DDR, PCBA manufacturing processes, touch panels and display, PC-like motherboards. Experience in Lean Mfg, 6Sigma and other quality methodologies will be valued.
Fluent in English.
Solid Technical and Business skills: Strong technology knowhow including PCA Quality and Process engineering, and major EE components players knowledge and market intelligence (intuition, inquisitiveness, strategic vision).
Strong negotiation skills: Able to get the best deal for HP without breaking the relationship and without impacting the schedules. Good control of the communication pace. Creating empathy with the partner.
Project Management skills: Able to deploy cross-organizational implementation plans thru partners, timely track progress, identify deviations and proactively take corrective actions. Strong leadership, able to effectively sell own ideas, and to influence others to buy-in and follow them without having direct control. Capable of managing multiple simultaneous tasks.
Strong Team Building and teamwork: Able to build rapport with partners so that new ideas can be accepted smoothly; and to give/receive open and honest feedback in a positive attitude.
Excellent Presentation and Communication skills: Able to integrate different organizations by actively listening to all parties to make internal tradeoff decisions and to ensure consistency in front of the partners. Clear presentations, going directly to the point and transmitting high level of confidence.
This position includes travels.
