POSITION SUMMARY

The Electrical and I/C engineer are responsible for performing Preventive Maintenance tasks, troubleshooting, repair, support new project commissioning, improving machinery equipment reliability and modification and preventive maintenance of maintenance equipment, hands-on experience with power substation equipment, induction and synchronous motors, protective relays, switchgear starters, PF compensation capacitor, MCC, UPS, VFD, equipment control systems, transformers, generators, electrical heater/system, plant lightings, DC battery& charger system, rectifier system…transmitters, switches, analyzers, programmable controllers, DCS, PLC, proximity devices, level control systems, actuator and control valve, cathode protection, detector device, critical safety system , pay-meter system, maintenance and troubleshooting, etc.

Participates in operation & conduct production management within shift.

This position will be reporting to and assist the Plant supervisor in directing all aspects of the day-to-day operation.

Assists the Plant supervisor to manage all plant- related affair.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure to comply with AP and local safety, health and environment standard, fulfill the mandatory safety requirement and activities: safety training, safety meeting, and all other requirements by AP EH&S and local regulation.
• Monitor the serviceability of plant equipment and facilities and ensure they adhere to safety, housekeeping and environmental requirements.
• Responsible for all instrument and control system and all Electrical equipment regular maintenance and repairing such as all HV&MV&LV transformer, electrical power supply system, MCC, motor driver and lighting etc. equipment regular maintenance and repairing, and all field instrumentation, valves, flow meter, transmitter, control circuit, monitoring, DCS, PLC etc.
• Response to maintenance requirements that could be scheduled or unscheduled/emergency jobs, on 24/7 base, prompt response to requests for assistance and putting in the time and effort to meet our customer’s expectations.
• To be familiar with all equipment in plants, maintain all maintenance equipment accurate documents integrity and equipment history database reachable.
• Provide hand-on technical skills at the troubleshooting and all related maintenance work or supporting work responsible.
• Perform preventive maintenance work and support to implement Mechanical Integrity work, troubleshooting, repair for all equipment.
• Coordinate or assist of supervision the contractor’s work in the facility or shop to guarantee safety and quality and reliability.
• Provide technical reports through the specified datasheet or checklist.
• Reporting-Time entry weekly, assist supervisor to prepare technical reports.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Educational: Diploma or ITE (2 years or 3 years) technical college holder in engineering discipline
• Working Experience: Start minimum at > 5 years and progress thereafter.
• Hands-on work experience is a must.
• Position will have experience in major shutdown support, project work, plant operations and maintenance efforts.
• Knowledge of vendor contracts and knowledge of shop support in the region is desirable.
• Attitude and passion for the work group assigned.
• Optimum use of shift resources to achieve shift production performance in production safety, quality and capacity in line with plant targets.
• Help to build and maintain good relationship with all customer，Keeping good communication with customer to insure closely cooperation
• Good cooperation and communication with other shifts to maintain a good production team work.
• Quick response to quality and process alerting. Active on upset handling to minimizes the impact on quality (no shortage on quality). Active and initiative on finding potential quality problem, analysis problem and get the solutions.

• Working Experience required:
• The minimum working experience in a gas or petrochemical or chemical or textile/fiber industry manufacturing for the engineer’s position are 3 years hand on troubleshooting experience in the field. Basic skills and knowledge in understanding ASU plant operation.
• Favorable hand on experience at least one of below equipment:
  • Field valves: Fisher, Samson, Jamesbury/Metso, Severn Glocon, Mapag, IR valve, NELES-JBURY, VERIFLO, FOXBORO,
  • Flowmeters;
  • Analyzers: THERMO, TELEDYNE, SERVOMEX, DELTA F, KONTROL, XENTAUR, GE Panametrics, ABB, Angilent, SIEMENS, SYSTECH, PMS, Peak, Drager, ANALOX, Michell, UHP LOX, Sensidyne, MSA, Hartmann&Braun;
  • DCS/PLCs: Siemens
• Favorable hand on experience at least one of below electrical equipment:
  • Transformers: ABB, Siemens; Cooper Power system;
  • Switchgear systems: ABB, Siemens;
  • Motors: ABB, Siemens; TECO, Nanyang made in China;
  • Other UPS and VFD control etc

• Possess good oral and written communication skills, preferable in English language.
• Be honest and able to work independently as well as in a team player.
