• Utilises existing internal and external knowledge and know-how and contributes to knowledge base.

• New product development or existing product upgrades:

  • Manages product development projects occasionally

  • Participates in defining valid development with marketing, sales, production teams.

  • Conceives, develops and perfects new products and processes according to internal guidelines.

  • Optimizes existing products and processes according to internal guidelines.

  • Performs scaled-down trials to confirm theory and address initial complications.

    • Makes test and verification plans

    • Analyzes test results or tested samples and outputs written reports

  • Organizes scaled-up/production trials for products and processes under development and perfect manufacturing procedures.

  • Produces written manufacturing procedures in relation to new products, and ensure successful production through monitoring and assistance.

  • Takes out patent.

• Provides technical support internally to production, quality, purchasing and occasionally when necessary, sales teams.

• Supports development of specialized test methodology or facility for purpose of new technology development / fundamental scientific research

• Runs technical missions at the clients' facilities when required.

• Provides expertise on returned products, competition products, raw materials.
