The appointee will edit research proposals, publication manuscripts and reports prepared by academic staff; edit/write articles and publications in research and development and compile reports on research output of the University. The materials to be edited will be from departments in the University, including writings in the subject disciplines of science, engineering, business and management, humanities and social science, and inter-disciplinary studies.
Applicants should have a recognized degree and experience in editing academic prose. A native or near-native command of English is required. The preferred attributes of the candidate are: (i) good organization and communication skills; (ii) a strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation; (iii) meticulous and detailed minded; and (iv) able to work independently in a dynamic working environment. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
