Responsibilities:
? Care for patients with medical illnesses including strokes, myocardial infarctions, traumatic injuries , mental illness person in crisis, drug overdose ect.
? Must always be ready to assess and treat a variety of life threatening and non life threatening injuries and illnesses from minor throat infections to heart attacks and severe traumas caused by accidents or violence
? Triage patient care depending upon patient needs.
? Proficient working with patients and families and providing education
? Competent to use defibrillator, portable ventilator, cardiac monitoring and resuscitator
? Competent to assist physician for intubation, central venous catheter, lumbar puncture, casting, suturing procedures and procedural sedation
? Patient assignment: maximum 4 patients based on patient’s condition
? Response to code blue hospital wide
? Float among various clinical services, where qualified and competent
? Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes.
? Effectively interact with patient and significant others, while maintaining the standard of professional nursing.
? Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms
? Carry out hospital’s policy and procedure properly
? Take preceptor role to provide new nurse orientation and training in the department.
? Interact with own staff, physicians and other department’s staff
? Works as key player in ER nursing expertise
? Professionalism and positive work attitude

Qualifications:
? Licensing Needed - Registered nurse in China
? Minimal Education Requirement- Associate Nursing Degree
? Minimal Experience Requirement - 5years working experience in nursing, above 3 years ER specialty nursing experience preferred.
? Complete department orientation and competency evaluation according to policy
? BLS, ACLS, PALS certification according to policy
Skills:
? Specializes in providing critical medical care and specialized treatment to patients that are either critically injured or severely ill
? Adequate communication skills in English and Chinese
Knowledge:
? Understand hospital policies
? Understand department policies
? Adequate nursing knowledge in general
? Excellent knowledge in ER nursing expertise
