Job Summary The EMEA Region Controller provides strategic, analytical, and tactical leadership and support to Eaton’s eMobility organization within the EMEA region, as well as provided business partnership to Operations Leadership to maximize profitable growth, and conform to corporate financial policies, legal requirements and GAAP. The position manages key financial aspects for the segment, including monthly financial reporting, financial close, forecast and annual profit plan, financial analsysis, financial policies and procedures, functional excellence. This position reports directly to the GM for the EMEA region, and functionally to eMobility’s Global Operations Controller. Job Responsibilities Support the eMobility leadership team with the financial and operational analysis, and partner with GM of EMEA Operations to achieve plan and operational objectives. Assure the existence and competency of financial systems and procedures to comply with GAAP, Sarbanes Oxley requirements, and corporate policies and procedures to guarantee the integrity of financial reporting. Drive financial process and systems improvements to insure the integrity of financial results and to improve efficiencies. Provide guidance and support in the consolidation, reporting and analysis of monthly results and forecasts, including appropriate commentary for the eMobility segement to Sector and Corporate leadership teams. Highlight areas of concern and recommend improvement actions. Evaluates capital appropriation request and works with the businesses and plants to ensure documents meet all Corporate requirements and clearly articulate capital requirements and associated benefits to the organization. Perform special analysis to support business decision making. This can include financial analysis in support of capital investments, operational improvements, operational business models, make vs. buy analysis, etc. Coordinate financial planning and reporting activities for “Distribution / pass-trough” entities with Finance peers across other operating business units and segements. Lead the development of eMobility region specific financial policies where needed. Lead the region profit planning process to orchestrate the efforts of the business and plants planning teams to develop a solid plan with all required presentation materials for Group and Sector review. Interface actively with the global, segment, sector finance and corporate finance teams (tax, audit, treasury, shared service centers, etc) to drive functional excellence improvement and initiatives. Supports the monthly operating reviews with the eMobility senior leadership team. Prepare the quarterly fluctuation analysis for E&Y. Work with Corporate Treasury to drive improvements to eMobility currency and commodity hedging results. Provide leadership to the eMobility finance organization and recruiting and developing strong top talent to succeed future financial leadership positions. Coach and mentor high potentials within the organization. Qualifications Education level required Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (BAC+5) Years and area of experience required 7+ years broad financial experience within manufacturing organizations. Proven managerial capability Soft skills Skill/Knowledge requirements: Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills. Ability to operate across, and influence within, a complex matrixed global organizational structure Thorough knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and concepts. Pronouncements of external regulatory bodies, such as Financial Accounting Standards Board, SEC, IRS, IASB, etc. International experience across financial disciplines, i.e., tax strategies, transfer pricing, currency hedging, statutory reporting, legal entity implications, etc. Ability to prepare, analyze and interpret financial and operations analyses/reports. Broad general business knowledge. Working knowledge of financial and ERP systems (SAP and/or Oracle a plus). General knowledge of all functional areas of the Group, Sector and Corporate organizations. Working knowledge of sourcing and manufacturing practices followed by Operations personnel.
