EHS Engineer - Your Future Position?

As an EHS Engineer in our Fragrance Division, you will be leading force to drive site EHS performance and culture forward; Support and Assist site management team to minimize EHS risks and promote employee’s awareness by proper risk assessment, prioritizing, implementation, monitoring& audit and continuous improvement. In this exciting role you will:

• Keep site management updated on the latest applicable EHS legislation, regulations, and codes of practice, China and corporate standards.

• Tracking the environment related regulations on air, waste water, ground water, noise and wastes. Ensure new regulations delivered to functional team and supervise functional team to conduct assessment and close potential gaps.

• Set up and maintain environmental protection procedures.

• Take lead site environmental aspects assessment, identify significant aspects and take action to mitigate environmental risk.

• Work closely with site engineering team to manage the environmental protection facilities including waste water treatment plant(WWTP), VOC treatment unit to ensure all facilities are working normally. Maintain all documentations and records.

• Be responsible for wastes management, ensure all wastes are disposed in accordance with regulatory requirement by working with IMS for contract sign and renewal. Maintain all documents and records.

• Provide site level environment related training to employee to enhance awareness, knowledge and skills.

• Attend Environmental incident investigations; validate all identified root causes and correctives actions,

• Organize third party to conduct periodic air emission test, odor emission, boundary noise test and generate annual report based on annual monitoring plan and relevant regulatory requirement.

• Supervise related party to conduct root cause analysis on deviation or finding of tests or monitoring data and implement the corrective actions.

• Lead or participate in environmental upgrade project, support project on EIA approval, trail run permit application, and project environment final acceptance monitoring and project environmental final acceptance.

• Work with Green Team on continuous improvement on air emission, waste reduction, energy saving for sustainability.

• Organize environmental emergency drill to improve site environmental emergency response ability.

• Coordinate the authorities’ inspection, and deliver result to related functional team to close potential findings.

• Communicate with government agencies such as EPB, Water Affair Bureau, prepare and submit the required environmental data to authorities

• Complete tasks as line manager arrange in timely manner.

  Your professional profile includes:

• Degree in Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Engineering, Chemical or M&E

• Certified Safety/ Environmental Engineer is a plus

• MUST have at least 5 years of previous experience in EHS with MNC

• Familiar with EHS laws, regulations, standards and relevant industrial practices

• Ability to plan, prioritize and manage time, attention to detail

• Ability to work under pressure and capacity to handle multiple task at same time and rap-idly solve problems
