Job Description
Acuris Risk Intelligence is a trusted and independent provider of global intelligence for Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Corruption and Cyber Security professionals. We own and maintain a database of actionable data from 240 countries and our services enable clients to make informed decisions during the due diligence process and manage risk related to fraud, money laundering, terrorist financing, and staff compliance. Acuris Risk Intelligence also provides bespoke enhanced due diligence (EDD) reports for a deeper dive into corporations, business owners, and high-net worth individuals.
As part of our rapid expansion, Acuris Risk Intelligence is seeking an editor to be based in the Shanghai office to play in key role in the production of EDD reports. The role involves coordinating the research of business owners, corporations and high-net worth individuals, and ensuring the quality of reports prepared by the research writers. The candidate will act as a point of contact for client queries and feedback on reports.
Acuris Risk Intelligence is part of Acuris, the leading provider of specialist news, research, analysis and data for financial professionals worldwide. Its five divisions – Fixed Income, Transactions & Infrastructure, Compliance, Equities and Research – include market-leading specialist intelligence brands such as Debtwire and Mergermarket. Acuris employs 1,300 staff, including 600 specialist journalists and analysts, in 67 locations around the world.
Main Responsibilities
Work in tandem with EDD managers, editors, research writers and quality assurance team to ensure the delivery of quality reports in a timely manner.
Provide editorial direction of each report and ensure the accuracy of information gathered by the research writers on a daily basis.
Mentor research writers on in-house standards and styles.
Act as a point of contact for client queries and feedback on reports.
Provide support on any ad-hoc projects such the writing of reports when required.
Essential Qualifications
Fluency in Chinese and English languages.
Experience in the due-diligence, media or research-related fields. Law and finance backgrounds also welcome.
Keen knowledge of open source intelligence gathering.
Exceptional editing skills including sound news judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to create engaging copy.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to digest multiple data sources and present essential information.
Effective organizational, time management, and communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and in co-operation with team members in different time zones.
Preferred Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Business, Finance, Law, International Relations.
Working knowledge of one or more languages apart from mother tongue and English.
In-depth understanding of AML/CFT Regulations, FATF Guidelines, PEPs and multilateral and unilateral Sanctions.
Interest in current affairs and politics in the region.
