About your job:

As the E-Commerce Manager for China, your role is to plan, develop & manage qatarairways.com website to drive online sales in China, & hence maintaining its position as key direct sales channel for the airline, driving qualified traffic to the website in order to increase conversion rate and achieve targets for revenue and online penetration for Qatar Airways. You would be expected to identify and implement sales & marketing initiatives, e-marketing activities, manages site content and eliminates any technical errors in order to increase sales, strengthen strategic online partnerships and improve overall customer experience on qatarairways.com, working closely with the Regional Direct Sales Manager.

  • Develop and drive digital marketing strategies, including web, mobile, email, acquisition, social, display and performance, plus support HQ strategies for remarketing.
  • Develop and execute conversion optimization strategy with a goal of creating conversion rate and revenue lift through web analytics, UX enhancement and a/b testing, in cooperation with HQ and RO.
  • Plan and implement online/internet promotional offer, value-add and ancillary product propositions to achieve revenue, yield improvement penetration targets for qatarairways.com.
  • Design and manage online marketing activities to increase relevant traffic flow and sales conversion, using PPC, SEO, viral, display, email e-marketing, social media and affiliate campaigns; ensure delivery of all campaign applications on time, to budget and to the highest standard.
  • Forecast, prepare and manage the financial objectives and budgets for the station/country’s digital marketing strategy. Optimizing spend from E- commerce online advertising budget.
  • Analyse web traffic statistics and ROI of all e-marketing campaigns;
  • Monitor OTAs’ activities, OAL online activities and continuous benchmarking; propose sales strategies for the continued growth of qr.com/cn.
  • Work with Marketing (local & HQ), Regional Direct Sales Manager and HQ E-commerce to agree and align marketing spent to planned activities.
  • Devise and propose strategies for the continued growth of FFP members in the region.
  • Grow Privilege club members as well as activity rate by implementing FFP campaigns.
  • Coordinate local language translation for IBE applications, website content and online assets
  • Develop and implement initiatives to increase e-newsletter subscribers and achieve online check-in targets.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as requested by Management.

About You:

You must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent , with minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the eCommerce space, and must be familiar with B2C digital marketing. Work experience in an online marketing agency or e-commerce/digital marketing department of a B2C retailer in the travel industry is preferred. Demonstrated experience and results in managing at least two of the following areas: Search Engine Marketing, Email Marketing, Affiliate Programs, account management of online marketing partnerships, Display Advertising, Social Media.

You must have demonstrated experience and results in managing at least two of the following areas: Search Engine Marketing, Email Marketing, Affiliate Programs, account management of online marketing partnerships, Display Advertising, Social Media. You should also have expert knowledge of MS office, content management and usability, strong numerical and analytical skills, familiarity with online marketing tools and a in depth understanding of web software (Google Analytics / adwords, Adobe Photoshop / Analytics).
