Duties:

• To coordinate the collection removal exercise and arrange the logistic operations.
• To assist in coordinating and providing logistic support to museum programmes, exhibitions, opening ceremony, lectures, education and extension activities as well as events sponsored by the Friends of the museum.
• To act as Duty Manager and assist in daily operations of the museum.
• To assist in conducting market research and preparing the specifications of various services and good for the museum.
• To coordinate and keep record of the museum’s inventory.
• To coordinate public enquiries and complaints, update case information system.
• To perform any ad hoc/general duties as required.

Qualification Requirement:

The candidate shall:

• Be a permanent resident of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region
• Have a Bachelor degree from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent
• Possess Grade ‘C’ or above in English Language and Chinese Language of HKCEE, or equivalent
• Speak native Cantonese and fluent English and knowledge of Putonghua is an advantage
• Be proficient in using general office computer software, e.g. MS Office (Word and Excel in particular) and Chinese character input
• Have at least 3 years of full time working experience. Of all full time working experience, preference will be given to a candidate who has worked in museums, performing venues or offices of the Cultural Services Branch of Leisure and Cultural Services Department for at least one year (full time) in the venue management field.
• Highly organized and with good communication skills
• Motivated, able to work independently and under pressure
