We are seeking a highly motivated part time Duty Manager to join our experienced and professional team. Reporting to the Lounge Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day success of the Domestic Lounge operations. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing a small team of 40-50 employees working across three lounges.
Key duties of this role include, but are not limited to the following:
- Implement service standards and training programs for all employees
- Conduct inductions and skills training as required
- Manage daily staffing and rostering requirements in line with business demands, within budget guidelines and following the relevant award requirements
- Have the necessary skills and training to achieve ‘win-win’ outcomes in customer and staff interactions
- Empower high performers and innovators whilst fostering entrepreneurial spirit
- Active involvement with teams and ongoing coaching/mentoring of direct reports to create cohesion and enthusiasm toward a common goal
- Stock work areas in the Lounge, including the transfer of heavy items to back and front of house including repetitive tasks
- Ensure all beverages are made to Lounge standards and the provided beverage specification
- Ability to manage Bar shifts, have excellent Barista skills and thorough knowledge of beverage service including cocktails and wines
- Ensure a safe working environment at all times, including completing incident reports, conducting workplace inspections and risk assessments
- Generate monthly reports, ordering of beverages and completing stocktake using Microsoft Office/Excel
Skills and Experience:
- Similar or previous experience as a Duty Manager, Outlet Manager or similar in a premium service environment
- Excellent communication skills, with a strong focus on guest and team member engagement
- Proven experience in leading a successful team
- Ability to liaise closely with the stakeholders in the lounge
- Able to think outside the box to ensure continuous improvement
Applicants must have the ability to work a rotating roster 24 hours / 7 days a week including Public Holidays
