Dispersant Chemist

Location: will be relocated in Singapore

Roles & Responsibilities

• To lead new polymeric dispersant development projects independently

• To conduct literature and patent search; to analyse and summarize search results in a report; to design polymer synthesis route according to the background info and target performance requirement; to conduct experiment to prove the design concept

• To characterize and analyze new polymer product

• To serve as a key contributor that delivers the organization’s innovation goals and project portfolio

• To coordinate all resources needed and deliver new product development according to innovation pipeline

• To prepare technical report to your superior, management team, sales and marketing departments

• Accountability for the fulfilment of innovation pipeline, product development and service projects

  
  

  Requirements

• A recognized PhD degree related to Polymer Chemistry, with strong background in organic synthesis

• Abundant experience and knowledge in radical and controlled radical polymerization, i.e. ATRP, RAFT, etc.

• Knowledge of principles and practices in dispersant development

• Have strong data analysis capability by DSC, GPC, NMR, FTIR, TGA, GC, MS, etc.

• Proactive and work independently

• Hands-on skills with proven track record in polymer material R&D

• Good project management skills and problem solving skill

• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work on cross-functional and cross cultural teams.

• Hands-on responsibility for implementing systematic recording of experiment results and technical projects

• Highly adaptable to a fast paced, dynamic environment and ability to perform under pressure

• At least 5 years of researching or working experience in the related field is required for this position
