We are now searching for our new Nordic Disease Area Specialist (DAS) within Medical Affairs, CVRM with specific focus on Metabolic Diseases (M). This role offers you the possibility to develop and execute our medical-scientific strategy in CVRM for the Nordic countries. Location is in any of the Nordic offices.
The role
In this office-based role as Disease Area Specialist (DAS) you will outline the Nordic medical strategy and Medical Activity Plan provided by Global Medical Affairs within the Disease Area. You will drive the Nordic Activities within CVRM together with local medical advisors. You therefore need to be a medical affairs professional with excellent scientific and disease area insight.
The DAS participates in cross-functional working relationships with internal partners, such as team members and peers. You will engage with external customers in in-depth medical and scientific product and/or disease area discussions and presentations in a non-promotional scientific context. Moreover, you are accountable for evidence generation and value propositions and join on an ad-hoc basis in the Therapeutic Area/Franchise Leadership Team, as well as in business reviews.
You are a member of the Nordic cross-functional team, when relevant in agreement with the TAL CV and the DAS R. The DAS reports to the Medical Affairs Director, CVRM NOBA. The DAS must not have commercial objectives or measures. However, DAS and their management may communicate strategic objectives and Key Performance Indicators to commercial stakeholders to ensure alignment.
In order to succeed, you have:
You have an advanced scientific degree in life sciences, master’s degree, or MD in a related subject area. The DAS is required to travel to conferences and regional meetings among the Nordic countries.
We are looking for a strategic thinker possessing excellent project management and interpersonal skills. An established understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, health care systems, and payer structures in the Nordic countries will be essential for success.
Your proven experience in strategy development and execution will be as central as your knowledge of clinical practice within CVRM.
You will discuss scientific content with a variety of audiences in different contexts. Therefore, you must have excellent communication and presentation skills, proficient in both written and spoken English and in at least one of the Nordic languages.
