Director of Sales

This position is to assist Director of Sales and Marketing to manage the sales and marketing division.  It is responsible for assisting the Director of Sales and Marketing to train and develop the direct reporting personnel. When applicable, it acts for the Director of Sales and Marketing during his absence. 

The Director of Sales position is responsible for planning and implementing sales and product development programs, both short and long range, targeted toward existing and new markets by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates

What you will be doing:

• Develops and implements strategic sales plans and forecasts to achieve corporate objectives for products and services.
• Develops and manages sales operating budgets..
• Develops and recommends product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share.
• Achieves satisfactory profit/loss ratio and market share in relation to preset standards and industry and economic trends.
• Oversees and evaluates market research and adjusts marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
• Monitors competitor products, sales and marketing activities.
• Establishes and maintains a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events.
• Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.
• Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales and marketing programs.
• Directs market channel development activity and coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals.
• Represents company at trade association meetings to promote product.
• Meets with key clients, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
  
  
  Your experience and skills include:
• Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in similar luxury product position inside or outside hotel industry
• Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing or business administration or equivalent number of years of experience
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office and other operating system
• Previous leadership experience is required, preferably in a luxury hotel environment in Indonesia
• Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with all levels of employees
• Service oriented with an eye for details
• Must have excellent writing skills (in English and Bahasa Indonesia)
• Well organized and meticulous with attention to details and deadlines
• Driven, enthusiastic, outgoing and creative
• A resourceful and independent worker with initiative and ability to multi-task
• Proven ability to work well under pressure
• Ability to work effectively and contribute in a team 
• Good presentation and influencing skills 
• Flexible and able to embrace and respond to change effectively 
• Any trade license or certification would be an additional qualification
