SUMMARY

Reporting to the VP of global sourcing & Procurement, the director of global sourcing & procurement will contribute to the execution of procurement and sourcing strategies to achieve both tactical and strategic goals. This position provides a major focus on value creation via supplier management and driving down cost in material & total product costs.

？ manage price negotiations & fact- and data-based product costing; manage supplier relationship and performance

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

？ contributing to development of a global sourcing & procurement strategy for all products and services which yields measurable regular improvement in cost, schedule and quality while linking strategic plans to the company-wide vision and growth plan.

？ contributing to development and implementation of standards and protocols for a world class company-wide sourcing program including sourcing practices, KPI’s, supplier code of conducts and strategic supplier relationships.

？ Develop an actionable and measurable plan for material, component and product, while working cross-functionally, protecting quality and service levels.

？ Drive continuous improvement and procurement initiatives that deliver quantifiable cost savings and efficiency improvements. Establish metrics and benchmarks to track procurement performance, improvements and quantify delivered cost savings.

？ Team leadership, leading a team of strategic and tactic orientated sourcing & procurement managers, provide coaching, develop team skills and capabilities, establish KPI and benchmarks to track team member performance.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

？ 8+ years relevant working experience with global procurement or sourcing activities.

？ Thoughtful knowledge of manufacturing & quality requirements of infants and toy products.

？ Knowledge of manufacturing & quality requirements of other relevant industries, passion to learn and drive change management

？ solid commercial knowledge & procurement experience in managing vendors & suppliers, knowledge of building trust, working cross-functionally

EDUCATION & SKILLS

？ Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Business Management or equivalent work related experience is required.

？ Good organizational and communication skills to prepare reports and analyses.

？ Good managerial skills overseeing a team of procurement, sourcing and costing specialists.

？ Must have the ability to pay attention to details while maintaining an overall strategy for material, component and product.

？ Good communication and negotiation skills. Focusing on “passion & trust” to drive change management.

？ Must have strong management presence and ability to influence within the organization and external partners

？ Ability to deal with changing environments, tight timelines and multiple priorities

？ good oral and presentation-based communication skills. Ability to travel frequently to suppliers. Fluent in mandarin is a must.

？ Collaborative and pro-active problem-solving skills that you can apply to all aspects of your work and interactions
