Job Description

As the EMEA leader of Oracle University Global Skill development, you will be required to rapidly expand the ecosystem of individuals trained and certified on Oracle Cloud technologies, by positioning innovative cloud training solutions. This will be achieved through direct engagement with educational institutions, governments, social and non-profit programs, recruiters, job seekers and even the startup and investor community 

The role will also involve creating 3rd party online learning channels to massively scale cloud training and certification to reach millions of students and professions. Success is measured through expanded cloud market share and increased cloud consumption for Oracle customers, through effective training and certification.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Work within the team and broader company to agree to a set of high-level programs
  • Define all related goals, objectives, and execution roadmaps
  • Define and track all related KPIs, success metrics
  • Define and track critical success factors along with any related budgets, marketing initiatives
  • Evaluate and align with complementary Oracle strategies (Sales, ISV, Engineering, Marketing)
  • Leader of the new EMEA Global Skill Development organization with approximately 8-10 employees
  • Recruit, manage and mentor Business Development managers and reps
  • Strategic Planning and execution of OU business plans
  • Development and execution of a four rolling quarter pipeline to support achievement of training and certification targets for current financial year
  • Establishment of global 3rd Party Channels to expand the GTM for the distribution of Tech Cloud training and certification
  • Confirmation of Regional Academic Institution Partnerships to capture the higher education student population
  • Creation of Business Development plans that drive the nexus between Cloud certified training and improved employability
  • Collaboration with Regional peers to develop and execute global strategy to support the achievement of objectives and targets.
  • Recognized as the external and internal spokesperson for Oracle University Skill Development business
  • Builds relationships with senior leaders across Oracle, e.g. Development, Marketing, Alliance & Channels and Oracle Academy to stay ahead of cloud innovation and go-to-market developments and ensure the Oracle University proposition is integrated into Oracle’s overall strategy
  • Provides regular accurate forecasts for training and certification demand
  • Develops and promotes the overall Oracle University cloud global skill development plan to other key Oracle lines of business
  • Ensures high levels of customer satisfaction with Oracle University’s cloud content and platform services
Customizes and delivers education services to external customers.

The Delivery Director is responsible for delivery of departmental results through successful direction and management of staff and resources, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction. Also responsible for the fiscal management of their business area, the development of annual budgets, weekly forecasts and overall expense management. Establishes and communicates departmental objectives and oversees plans to assure attainment. Develops and manages to approved budget, ensures proper utilization of resources and authorizes departmental expenditures. Participates in the strategic planning function for the delivery organization. Recommends strategies and improvement ideas to senior management.

Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Masters Degree or equivalent experience preferred. Has 5 plus years of experience teaching adult learners. Has 10 plus years of industry experience, including 5 plus years of technical or professional experience (education preferred) in addition to 5 plus years of experience in a management or other leadership role.
