Associate Director / Director, SEFF Analytic Consulting


CONTEXT/SCOPE(INCL. LOCATION)


l SEFF Analytic Consulting is a fast paced and rewarding opportunity within Nielsen Greater China which has aggressive growth expectations and requires individuals that are quick to learn and demonstrate a strong personal drive, determination & energy.

l The role is based in Shanghai, China.


PURPOSE OF ROLE

l The role will be responsible for leadership & management of Analytics for key leading FMCG MNCs and overall HPC industry business development within the Greater China region and will be responsible for maintaining the stable relationship and ensuring the sustainable growth.

l The role will be responsible for leading the team for delivery of high quality Analytic services that deliver strong client return on investment.

l The role will be responsible for delivering against high growth revenue targets and responsibility for driving new business development opportunities.


KEY DIMENSIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES


Strategic Client Consulting & Management

l Monitor and anticipate market trends and activities that will impact Clients business and develop strategies that will contribute to profitable business growth and sustainable competitive advantage.

l Leadership & responsibility of expanding AC scope of influence within clients across a wider range of AC solutions and with greater depth across the client organization.

l Leverage best demonstrated practices from other markets and bring them into the local client context

l Foster relationships with key contacts of clients.


Financial Management

l Develop business and category engagement plans for clients to contribute to total revenue commitments for AC team.

l Monitor the actual financial performance against budget / forecast and work with team leader to ensure the implementation of appropriate actions that will lead to the achievement of AC financial objectives


People Management

l Responsible for management and leadership of account teams.

l Establish high standards of performance and hold AC associates firmly accountable for meeting those standards.

l Act as coach, guide and mentor to associates by providing support, recognition and feedback to assist associates towards achieving the desired performance expectations and standards


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED


Qualifications

l Appropriate academic qualification – degree / diploma.

l Good communication skills

l Post graduate degree an advantage.

l High cognitive ability & numeracy capability

l Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

l Knowledge with Linux, VBA, SQL, SPSS, SAS would be a plus


Experience

l Ideally 6-8 years FMCG, Market Research, Retail experience with previously demonstrated success within this environment. Deep understanding of FMCG market, HPC and beverage market is an advantage.

l Experience working with and successfully developing strategic partner relationships & consultative skills.

l Strong record of successfully working with leading company which requires deep understanding of client business operation

l Strong record on business development at specific industry

l Demonstrated success in a demanding & fast pace business environment.
