Mission and Purpose

The "Audi China R&D Workshop" supports the engineering and test activities of our Audi China R&D teams. The function "Development Engineer" supports the effective setup of test conditions and test environment for test fleet and related tests adapted to stakeholder requirements. The specific task will be the Design, Production and Installation of Prototyp-Harness for our test cars and test equipment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Support Car modification : Collection of all related information regarding the required cabling.
• Design of harness: As starting point for production of the harness, as well as the documentation of the car modification, an electronic layout/design/drawing need to be developed for each harness.
• Preparation of the harness: The harness needs to be prepared by the Development Engineer in a professional high quality method.
• Supporting the related warehouse: For the efficient preparation of harness, we need to define a stock of spare parts ( connector, pins, housing,cable, wires). The engineer will support the process, by providing the related requirements to the warehouse engineer.
• Quality check and documentation: To support our internal costumer with the highest quality, the engineer need to proceed the quality check and the documentation of the harness.

Qualifications

Education Background

• Bachelor degree

- Major in Electrical- or Automotive engineering.

Professional Skills

• At least 3 years working experience in the automotive harness business in the core area of Design&Development of harness and experienced in electrical engineering (Power,Resistance, consumption) and bus systems (CAN,LIN, Flexray).
• Experienced with CAD tools.
• Hands on ‘real-world’ mechanical experience and knowledge.
• Proficiency in MS office( PPT, Excel, ...)
