Contract role based in China (module yard).

Chiyoda is currently hiring at a petrochemical project; this is located at the module yard in Penglai Shandong province in China. This role is expected to start as soon as possible until February 2021.

This role reports to the Furnace Fabrication Manager, General Fabrication Manager, and OF Project Manager. Supervision is exercised upon Furnace Module Leads, discipline supervisors, and subcontractors.

Core Accountabilities / Responsibilities

• Assist Furnace Fabrication Manager
• Coordinate overall OF module fabrication activities.
• Assists Furnace Fabrication Manager by implementing the general fabrication manager's directives.
• Coordinates with his client's counterpart, keeping him informed daily of progress and problems.
• Ensure that the work complies with the CONTRACTOR Objectives regarding Quality, Safety, Health and Environment.
• Review or approve Construction Execution Plan, Method Statement and Job Safety Analysis.
• Ensure that work progress supports overall project schedule. Study and implement Recovery Plans when necessary.
• Work with the module leads to minimize interferences.
• Establish construction plans in accordance with "Constructability Check List" together with Subcontractors.
• Attend Weekly Meeting with Subcontractors and on-request for Monthly meeting.
• Participate in Monthly and Weekly mass housekeeping and manage Subcontractors activities.
• When construction nears completion, make transition from area focused effort to focusing on system/subsystem completion to support pre-commissioning and system/subsystem testing and hand over to COMPANY

Technical Knowledge / Skills / Competencies

• Able to use MS-word, MS-Excel and 2D/3D-CAD viewer.
• Knowledge on steam cracking furnace equipment and construction

Minimum Years of Relevant Experience:

At least 7 years’ experience at a hydrocarbon processing plant construction site.

Held equivalent position in the past

HSE Requirements for the Position: Has a sound knowledge of, and experience working under HSE requirements for brownfield and greenfield EPC contracts within a major contracting organization.
