- Supervises, CO-ordinates and participates with his kitchen staff engaged in the proper cleaning, presentation and cooking of all food stuffs for his respective section.
- Prepares requisitions of food items based on planned food prepared.
- Observes and tests food being cooked; samples all food prepared.
- Utilizes leftover food, converts unconsumed cooked food to other dishes.
- To check all fridges freezer for correct storage, rotation of all and food items in your section.
- Checks on requisitioned supplies to determine freshness, quality and quantity.
- Trains and evaluates performance of his personnel.
- Ensures that kitchen equipment and utensils are handled and used properly at all times.
- Ensures that hotel cost controller policies and procedures are followed.
- Ensures cleanliness and maintenance of equipment, work areas, and cold rooms, in
- CO-ordination with other kitchens or stewarding.
Work Experience
- Previous experience in similar position and hospitality industry
- Ability to enabling the team and create healthy work atmosphere
- Sparkling personality, positive attitude and good communication skills
- Ability to apply strategic thinking and business awareness
