Architecture and IT platform

• Further develop the data platform and analytics solutions

• Identify and document current and future state of data architecture

• Research, present and accurately articulate benefits and goals of these technologies, such as Big Data, Hadoop, NoSQL, data virtualization and data services

• Collaborate with various departments, architects, project managers and technical managers to provide estimates, develop overall implementation solution plan and serve as a lead, when required, to implement solution

Data Management

• Serve as the business modeler / data analyst for data projects and initiatives, creating conceptual and logical business models used to generate physical data models and database schema

• Research, promote and develop data architecture best practices

• Work closely with BA, business and IT teams to clarify and refine functional data requirement specifications

• Establish new data standards and processes to support the company's needs

• Create effective data models to support both RDBMS and NoSQL based databases

• Effectively present / communicate data models to the business, IT and the project teams

• Identify existing solutions in the Group covering the Data Management process (Data Dictionary, Data Quality, Data Lineage, etc.)

Technology Management

• Follow the latest trends & best practice and derive possible use cases

• Drive setup of PoC for new technology in collaboration with the Data management & Infrastructure team

• Maintain Landscape repository and manage the technology lifecycle for assigned solutions (Data Platform, Data Lake, etc.)

Other Tasks

• Strong collaboration with Business units and Stakeholders

• Key role in the Porsche Digital China(PDC) working groups for Data management & Data analytics

• Know-how transfer within the PDC team and close collaboration with other data management teams

Requirements:

Education

• Bachelor and/or Master degree in computer science or equivalent, or other majors with strong linkage to data topic

Experience

• 8+ years of technical solutions experience including 5+ years of in a combination of relevant Data, Big Data, Analytics areas including:

  • Demonstrated experience in creating medium to large-scale enterprise logical data models using normalization techniques

  • Experience building enterprise data lake, data warehouse and business intelligence solutions

  • Experience using data modeling tools as example power designer

  • Experience in a cross-culture working environment or strong ability to cooperate and coordinate with the teams from different countries or different cultural background

• Specific Knowledge

  • Practical knowledge with the Hadoop framework (HDFS, Hive, Spark, etc.)

  • Worked on one or more of the following databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Oracle

  • English is a MUST

• Plus

  • Automotive industry project experience

  • Experience of system integration in big corporate for data platform setup

  • Skilled use of Java, Spring cloud, AWS, practical project experience related to mobile internet and digital sales & marketing

  • Familiar with Microservice architecture such as Spring Cloud, experience related to K8s, Docker or big flow service design
