KEY ACCOUNTIBILITIES:

– Partner with internal Business Units to cultivate innovative data, analytics, and AI projects

1. Collaborate with internal Business Units to understand their business needs, gather business requirements, propose and refine solutions based on new and innovative technologies, software, or platform, and deliver value-add POCs

2. Analyze existing data / analytics / business models within internal Business Units to identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, process, resources, or generation of valuable business insight using AI solutions

3. Promote and facilitate cross-Business Unit or cross-team project collaborations to synergize ideas and business solutions in order to fundamentally transform and accelerate the drug discovery, development, and manufacturing process

– Manage AI solutions from conception to development to deployment and support

4. Provide AI subject matter expertise among business unit partners, technical partners, and/or 3rd party vendors; build up strong influence as subject matter expert among internal and external partners

5. Develop custom AI models on existing AI frameworks or languages in response to business requirements; work with external vendors or internal teams to deploy and scale value-add POC AI models into company-wide solutions

6. Drive initial solution conception architecture, solution development, and solution deployment with high standards for governance and compliance in order to minimize risk of data/IP exposure

– Make strategic AI recommendations to add value to our business in alignment with overall data and innovation vision

7. Introduce recent advances, best-in-class models / solutions, and emerging 3rd party academic research or business partners from the AI industry

8. Synthesize our business needs with cutting-edge AI to make value-add recommendations for our business.

REQUIREMENTS:

? 3+ years of hands-on experience in Data Analytic / Statistical Modelling / AI & ML & DL, preferably with strong experience in DL and unstructured visual/text data

? Participated in at least 1 major, cross-functional AI/ML/DL project involving external vendors and multiple internal stakeholders from start to finish at all points of project lifecycle

? Background in pharmaceutical industry, preferably familiar with drug development process

? Independent problem-solver

? Strong sense of ownership and responsibility toward projects; self-driven toward quality delivery above all

? Innovative thinker, willing to experiment with new ideas and technologies

? Mentally resilient, unafraid of trial and failure

? Relationship management and the ability to engage, communicate effectively, and influence internal and external business partners from different backgrounds and areas of expertise.

? Ability to understand complex and abstract business needs, distill into clear technical requirements, and create measurable and actionable project plans

? Ability to set priorities, align stakeholder expectations, and develop and execute an associated plan of action.

? Ability to write and speak in the English language.

EDUCATION (Indicate the mini. requirement & preferred discipline):

? Master’s degree in Math/Statistics/computer science/physics or equivalence in experience

? Familiar with big data platforms and data infrastructure to support AI/ML/DL

? Ability to cross-pollinate ideas between different industries/experiences in order to innovate
