工作职责:
PURPOSE and SCOPE OF THE JOB
Data Analysts contribute to our continued development in analytics, relating to below areas:
1) Social analytics;
2) Reporting and media monitoring;
3) Data analytics;
Working in collaboration with projects, Data Analysts provide support for the aspects of:
1) Optimizing the performance of our campaign and communications activities including news making, social media engagement, web optimization, email marketing and online advertising;
2) Visibility data intelligence and regular reporting packages for media and performance monitoring;
3) Accomplish data analytics and visualization tasks for projects; Explore utilization of data science techniques on environment related data, engagement data and social analytics;
RESPONSIBILITIES
1) Social analytics
- Responsible for ad hoc social analytics requests from project and communication teams including channel analysis, audience analysis, insight analysis, etc.; Apply analytics results to support project lifecycle with data insights;
- Act as a key interface for projects and proactively identify analysis subjects that contribute to decision making for projects and communications;
- Support evaluation with data insights for digital communications which include news making, social media, web, etc.;
- Assess web performance and search engine optimization (SEO); Design and implement tests for the optimization of engagement, which may include A/B testing messages, web pages and other channels;
2) Reporting and media monitoring
- Responsible for visibility data readiness;
- Manage visibility data input/output process with guidelines, implement QA process and random check to ensure alignment and data quality; Carry out relevant training to colleagues as needed;
- Generate regular reports for channels including but not limited to Weibo, WeChat, Web, News & International, Ads, APP, Greenpeace WeMedia channels in mainland China,etc.;
- Continuously improve regular reporting packages for organization, by optimizing data contents, tools and visual to match varying needs from projects;
- Develop queries and reports as requested, using tools include SQL, Excel, Google Analytics, etc.;
- Carry out ad-hoc organization media monitoring tasks as required;
3) Data analytics
- Carry out data processing, visualization and analytics tasks requested by project teams;
- Explore utilization of data science techniques on environment related data, engagement data and social analytics to support achieving organization objectives; complete relevant tasks individually or with technical partners;
- Conduct algorithm modeling and experiment design on environment data and engagement data;
- Test and validate predictive models, implement automated processes for efficiently producing scale models, work with data engineer to generate algorithm and create computational models;
任职资格:
Basic skills requirements:
- B.S. or above in a relevant field; 2-3 years experience in a relevant role;
- Familiar with at least one of the visualization and BI tools such as Tableau, QlikView, DataV, Supermetric, Echarts;
- Familiar with at least one of the analytics tools such as R, SPSS, MATLAB, SAS, etc;
- Familiar with SQL and Excel;
- Experience in Database management;
- Experience with campaigning, branding, engagement, business analytics, media analysis
Preferred Candidates Profile:
- Ability to design and implement analytical framework to solve realistic problems and answer specific questions using available data and within constraints;
- Access and PowerPivot is a plus;
- Familiar with Google Analytics and Baidu Analytics;
- Experience with business intelligence reporting process;
- Extensive experience solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches;
- Familiar with relational databases and SQL;
- Experience with media monitoring tools is a plus, such as Talkwalker, Meltwater, BlueMC, Crimson Hexagon;
- Fluency with at least one programming language such as Python or Java is a plus;
- Experience with one of the areas is a plus: Data Mining, Machine Learning and NLP, Predictive Analysis, Visual Computing;
- Comfort manipulating and analyzing complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources
