Position Title: Country/NWA Manager

Location: Beijing China

Duration: Permanent Staff position

Work Schedule: 5 days * 8 hours

Start date: ASAP


Overall Purpose of the Job:

  • To manage the Group’s activities in a country or natural work area in an efficient and effective manner focusing on delivering profits, growth and sustainable business.
  • To work effectively within the organisational structure to optimise Region/Area performance and margins.

Key Activities and Accountabilities:

  • Develop annual business plan and ongoing forecasts of business performance for country/natural work area.
  • Monitor operational performance to ensure Company’s and Client’s quality and safety criteria are met or exceeded in all respects.
  • Deliver the full range of products to the Client to meet contract requirements cost effectively whilst maximising profitability (improving margins).
  • 4Monitor, market and promote sales in country/natural work area to maximise overall income potential.
  • 5Plan income and cost budgets for areas of responsibility to reflect acceptable margins and contribution levels.
  • Control direct and indirect costs to maximise cash flow potential for country/area or responsibility
  • Accountable for country/natural work area support activities including Finance, Supply Chain, HSEQ etc
  • Monitor and develop workforce to ensure both the Group’s and the individual’s objectives and potential are realised.
  • Establish and maintain contact with all NOCs with respect to future Company opportunities.
  • Ensure production of monthly activity and financial report for business.
  • Develop partnerships and alliances designed to position the Company in key industry contracts in country/natural work area.
  • May be required to engage with local unions/employee representatives in relation to negotiation of local/industry agreements affecting the workforce
  • Develop and promote excellent local community relations.
  • Actively adhere to the Code of Conduct and Anti-Bribery policies, procedures and processes to ensure the highest ethical standards are maintained and exposure to liability or risk to Company’s reputation is minimised. Provide leadership in all ethical issues; ensure employees are aware of Company’s compliance requirements and feel able to report possible violations or conflicts of interest.
  • Actively adhere to and ensure compliance with applicable Quality policies, procedures, processes & systems. Take an active part in quality improvement processes. Act on reported deficiencies and approve deviations from standard procedures as appropriate.
  • Ensure that employees adhere to and comply with all applicable Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures and processes. Provide leadership in HSE; encourage employees to take responsibility and be accountable for their own and others’ safety and provide an environment where they feel authorised to stop any unsafe job. Ensure that all incidents and non-conformances are reported in line with the appropriate procedures and deadlines; ensure that all incidents are investigated and corrective actions raised as required; where appropriate, participates in incident investigations.
  • Supervise, mentor and coach direct reports and ensure completion of their Employee Development Plans. Where applicable, ensure that training and competency programs are in place to facilitate the mentoring of subordinates through the competency system. Conduct competency assessments when required.

Job Knowledge and Qualifications:

  • 7+ years management experience with 2 years exposure to Group techniques and technology
  • Appropriate technical background with proven P/L management and supervisory experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Company Group international operations and capability
