Job summary: The Cost Estimator Engineer is responsible generating, tracking and communicating quoting activities for new and existing customer requests.

Main Responsibilities:

• Generate turnkey quotations, including labor, material costs, margins and lead times to be submitted to the Project Coordination Department

• Obtain and review customer documentation for accuracy, completeness, and manufacturability

• Interface with related departments in order to obtain purchasing, quality, production, and engineering inputs for correct and timely estimation

• Interface with internal customers to effectively resolve documentation, quality and production issues regarding estimation activities

• Analyze system requirements, capacity, cost, and customer needs to determine feasibility of a customer request for a quote

• Ensure internal documentation and system procedures are timely and accurately completed, and meet customer requirements

• Respond to internal turnaround time goals, customer expectations, and customer feedback

• Report on status of quotes including turn -round times and success rates

• Ensure continual improvement of quoting process

Requirements:

• Bachelors or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering fields

• Component level technical understanding in all or some of the following areas: piping, steel structure, electrical and instrumentation, Insulation and /or assembly

• Working background in a manufacturing environment similar to Cimtas Ningbo is a plus

• Knowledge of ASME, ASTM, PED, EN standards

• Fluency in English, oral and written

• 3 years+ experience in the related area

• Experience in a multicultural work environment is a plus
