Key Responsibilities:

• Provide professional advice to the executive team regarding any security risk, threats and crisis management; and provide guidance on how HKSTP’s events/activities are designed to mitigate potential risks while meeting operational objectives
• Develop, coordinate, and implement security policies, standards, and procedures to safeguard HKSTP
• Responsible for championing all Safety and Security operations and functions, such as preserving the safety and security of workers in Science Park/Industrial Estate/InnoCentre, Science Park employees, facilities, safe work practice promotion, OSHA compliance, safety classes as well as lost and found
• Direct and administer the patrol of the interior and perimeter of HKSTP premises to observe and identify potential safety risks, security risks and undesirable conditions
• Review and ensure all building security systems are operating as necessary during event and non-event periods. Security systems include but are not limited to: cameras and access control; physical security equipment where recommended to be used (hand-wands, bollards, etc.).
• Direct and lead investigations of accidents, thefts, property loss and unlawful activities
• Direct response to emergency situations including, but not limited to, riots, large groups gathering, safety hazards, fires, medical emergencies and threats to life and/or property
• Strategize / work on Emergency Evacuation/Response Plans and communication/relationship with Police Department and Fire Department. Serve as the primary liaison with Police/Fire Department
• Maintain the proper image and generate positive public relations by resolving guest/artist/client/tenant issues, concerns, and complaints pertaining to security during events
• Research and analyze event information (security riders, recce, site visits) to provide staffing recommendations and estimates prior to events
• Conduct security audits on regular basis and when required
• Perform any other duties from time to time as may reasonably direct by HKSTP

Qualification:

• Bachelor degree in any disciplines
• High caliber security professional with at least 10 years’ relevant security management experience, preferably in property management industry
• Physical security knowledge (strong understanding of access controls, CCTV, intrusion detection and other physical security protection measures)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, specifications and other related documents
• Proficient in investigation and security risk management; familiar with relevant laws and legal procedures
• Good knowledge and hands-on experience in handling critical security issues
• Strong investigative and analysis skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
