Job Description
  • Monitor the macro economic situation of the global market, China and Hong Kong
  • Keep track of the government’s fiscal and monetary policy as well as policies of HKMA and SFC, etc.
  • Research on specific industries (e.g. property, insurance industry, etc.), business segments as well as hot topics (e.g.FinTech, the Greater Bay Area, One Belt One Road, etc.) in order to cope with business development of the Bank
  • Evaluate and analyze the potential impact of economic changes
  • Provide economic forecast that would affects the banking industry and report the latest economic trend in internal meetings
  • Recommend strategic plan to resolve new and complex problems
  • Develop innovative strategies with the Bank’s competitive edge and quantify the performance on the Bank's operations
  • Prepare presentation deck and reports of the Bank’s overall and segmental business performance for the management, headquarters and external organizations
  • Draft research report on banking industry and peers’ competitive edges
  • Develop metrics to measure features and outcome of banking products and services
  • Take lead in consultancy projects with the third parties and ad hoc projects if needed
  • Master degree holder or above
  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience
  • Excellent analytical and report writing skills
  • Strong command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Ad hoc duties are expected

 

Candidate with less experience will be considered as Deputy / Assistant Corporate Communications Manager (Strategic Research)
