Job Description
- Work safely and ensure appropriate safe guards are in place to mitigate hazards and prevent incidents
- Design, develop and test new control systems as well as maintaining and modifying existing systems
- Provide programming development, testing and support for Expert Control Systems (ECS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Computerized Control Systems, Control Wiring, Process Control, Building Control Systems, Instrumentalism, Electro-Mechanical Relaying, Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) and process networks
- Preparation and review of ladder diagrams, interconnection diagrams, CWD’s (Control Wiring Diagrams) SCADA systems, I/O servers and operating systems
- Work collaboratively with design engineers, plant engineers, IS and other internal staff
- Participate in the development, implementation and compliance of plant process network standards Liaison with consultants, contractors and suppliers
- Engage appropriate support to ensure compliance with relevant health, safety and environmental regulations and quality standards
- Purchase equipment specific to instrumentation, control and network systems
- Analyze data and present findings in clear written reports
- Learn plant operations and existing systems (control, network, data management, etc.)
- Calibrate instrumentation, tune control loops and optimize advanced controls
- Able to work irregular hours or be on-call occasionally to support project implementation to deal with faults which occur at the plant operations.
- Keep improve regarding new plant development trends of digital solution. Propose creative solution for future digital plant
- Provides expertise that supports testing and commissioning activities throughout the project
- Provide on-site C&I engineering consultation during construction, pre-commissioning & commissioning stage. Witness and sign off construction activities as completed, including loop functional checks, pre-commissioning and commissioning of the new systems
- Participate in the training & development of assigned employees in the project.
Degree in control and instrumentation engineering or other engineering curriculum with controls and instrumentation experience- Demonstrated skills in specific control disciplines such as:
advanced process control (APC)- multiple-input & multiple-output (MIMO) with model predictive control (MPC)
- distributed control systems (DCS)
- programmable logic controllers (PLC)
- supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA)
- Knowledge of UNITY and VUE based system is preferred
- 5 – 8+ years relevant working experience in engineering projects for E&I DISCIPLINE for both design, construction, commissioning
- Based at Pinghu, Zhejiang Province, frequent travel (up to 50% plus) to Shanghai for the 1st year.

- Knowledge of: NFPA, NEC, IEEE, ASME, UL, ISA and IEC codes and standards is preferred.
- Familiar with engineering tools, AutoCAD, process calculation applications
- Fluent in reading and written English and Mandarin
The C&I engineer ensures the systems and processes can operate effectively, efficiently and safely. The role is multidisciplinary, working closely with colleagues across a number of functions, such as process engineering, operations, project engineering and information systems (IS).
