Job Description

 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The primary responsibilities of this role, Contract Specialist, are to: 

 

  • Collaborate with HealthCare Providers, Agencies, Vendors, sourcing/purchasing group, Medical Affairs, Marketing teams, Law and patents, Tax, and Accounts payable;
  • Be responsible for obtaining compliance approvals from Bayer Country Compliance Officers for honorariums, accommodations, airfares, transportation, meals and tax grossing up and following up Process requests for consultation agreements with the Law and Patents Team and that all consultation agreements are fully executed prior to any meeting;
  • Be responsible for obtaining sourcing approval for vendor agency proposals and following up process requests for contracts with the Law and Patents Team and requesting the setting up of requisitions/PO’s by the P2P Coordinators;
  • Request the Processing of payments for HCP’s and ensure they are compliant;
  • Research the Crystal Data Warehouse to obtain EFPIA countries and Australian HCP/HCO Group ID numbers and consent dates, contact Country Data Stewards to initiate consent handover dates, if need be, before processing agreement requests with the Law and Patents Department obtain information from third party vendors for reporting HCP TOV’s;
  • Follow instructions or guidelines based on department’s SOP’s;
  • Maintain and create files, records and archiving systems to facilitate the timely retrieval of information;
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant SOP’s, promote and adhere to the Bayer HealthCare Compliance Program, including but not limited to the Bayer HealthCare Code of Conduct and applicable policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Associates Degree or Business School Diploma with 6 months relevant experience; OR a High School Diploma with at least 1 years experience related to the pharmaceutical/ healthcare industry and at least 3 years’ experience with contract processing at a legal entity with a minimum of 1 year specialized experience processing honorarium approvals working with global compliance officers and close coordination with agencies and HealthCare Professionals, processing vendor/agency contracts and consultation agreements with sourcing and legal;
  • Knowledge of Pharmaceutical/HealthCare Compliances and payments requirements to HCP at HCP events;
  • Previously demonstrated experience in roles that required extensive customer interaction, job complexity and coordination, organizational follow up and inter personal skills along with strong verbal and communication skills;
  • Experience in processing payments and vendor set ups in SAP a must;
  • Must pay great attention to detail, be thorough and provide timely feedback.
