Responsibilities

  • Define the global marketing strategy and investment mix for Oracle’s consulting (OCC) group in the telecommunications and media vertical business unit
  • Represent OCC proposition packs and services to analysts and build positive market view for Oracle Corporation
  • Act as an evangelist with customers, prospects and influencers through extensive social media and industry events / conferences
  • Develop highly-differentiated messages and marketing/sales content including sales presentations, infographics, videos, podcasts, articles, digibooks, case studies, thought leadership and demand generation materials
  • Work across many organizations (sales, product management, field marketing, partners, AR, PR) to develop, deliver and execute on growth strategies
  • Manage the internal and external presence of the product set on channels including oracle.com, internal knowledge management sites, and social media

  • Knowledge of telecommunications services, mobile and fixed line 
  • Rudimentary knowledge of business support systems including CRM, Order Management and Billing for communications service providers 
  • High level knowledge of network functions including signaling, SIP, and session border control 
  • Prior work for a vendor in telecom space is a plus  
  • Support, create, and implement solution-based integrated communication plans/packs and strategy for the division highlighting the delivery capability and customer success.
  • Work with Product Management, License and Consulting Sales teams to generate demand based content that would highlight OCC's Go-To market initiatives in line with the Business Unit
  • Develop integrations and technical content for websites, blogs and social media. 
  • Work as an evangelist and write articles for public forums or represent OCC in public forums and interviews highlighting our core capabilities 
  • Create reports and presentations for digital marketing initiatives 
  • Present customer case studies and success stories in public forums and events like OOW, OIC, MWC & TM Forum 
  • Participate in and plan customer meetings, sales support activities, advertising initiatives, direct mail/marketing, videos and other marketing communications tactics.
  • Monitor, measure and analyze campaign performance metrics, online activity data and market research findings and react to changes.
  • Utilize web analytics and market research tools to measure campaign performance, identify trends and provide reports. Develop deliverables as appropriate.
Position Location\:  Prefer candidates based within commutable distance to Oracle San Jose, CA office.  Open to considering qualified candidates based in any US location.

!|!Responsible for digital marketing of products or services in support of Oracle's demand generation strategy using tools to optimize marketing strategies and enhance the customer experience with new technology platforms and innovations.

Assist in the development and implementation of digital marketing strategies to optimize the online user experience, increase marketing effectiveness. Executes online marketing programs such as search optimization (paid and natural search), affiliated marketing, social marketing, and viral marketing to create buzz and inbound demand responses. Drive traffic which ultimately generates sales pipeline. Translates ideas used in demand generation into promotional marketing campaigns and advertising personas. Ensures localized content is leveraged for all digital marketing channels including, web, social, paid advertising and outbound emails Conducts analysis for programs effectiveness and uses the findings for market site enhancements and to leverage optimization of all digital programs. Collects and analyzes digital/internet/website/mobile data and statistics which monitor and measure the performance of digital traffic and activities to support marketing and campaign optimization, lead generation for sales, product and engineering teams for continuous improvements to product and data driven decision making. Applies statistics-based market intelligence to business issues and formulates recommendations on optimizing the user experience and help drive business outcomes. Monitors and analyzes site performance and reviews tracking metrics to provide solutions to increase search engine ranking and creating marketing personas/audience profiles. Researches and evaluates new technology trends and identifies new optimization opportunities. Manage online advertising relationship and local social media agencies.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 8 years relevant work experience. BA/BS degree or equivalent. Proficiency in web analytics applications, strong database skills and technical understanding of website architecture and mobile platforms.
