What you will do for Siemens Smart Infrastructure: Strategy definition and implementation: Derive Procurement strategies for assigned projects in accordance with Business and BU-wide Procurement strategies and ensure their implementation (pooling or utilization of master contracts), as well as identify solution approaches and improvement potentials to ensure alignment with the strategic Procurement targets as well as overall business strategies Demand, Market, Supplier Analyses: Provides detailed analyses of complex demand structures within his/her global material fields regarding quantitative and qualitative aspects. Provides detailed market analyses in context of the economic cycle, explaining the market developments and discussing possible future scenarios. Recognizes long-term market and technology trends. Generates comprehensive analyses of the relevant suppliers, their situations (capacities, innovations, technology trends, economic situation) and their business model. Is familiar with current data analytics tools and uses them frequently and effectively Project Controlling / Reporting: Clarify internal indicators for project controlling and compile all relevant information to submit qualified reports (e.g., for the project team, Procurement management). Proactively ensure resources availability, status, transparency and alerting of deviations. Knowledge management and documentation: Be proactive and forward systematically all relevant Procurement information (e.g., updated contractual conditions, Supplier Management data) to keep all project participants and relevant cross-functional partners up to date. Contractual Agreements: Develop and negotiate contractual agreements to provide price protection and supply security in consultation with legal, business, and technical functions. Execute requirements per terms of the agreements. Experimenting and agile working: Has profound knowledge and broad experience. Analyzes, interprets, structures, and presents extensive and/or complex data and information on the topic. Has application experience in complex environments (some interdependencies, variables, uncertainties). Successfully executes ambitious tasks, independently choosing the optimal solution or method from different options. Finds solutions in complex environments and for broad organizational/professional issues and/or unpredictable problems. Risk Management: Identify Procurement risks, opportunities, potential changes, claims and market forces during the entire project, together with Commodity Management, to avoid potential damage / exploit potential. Required Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skill: BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree, where required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certification may be required in some areas. Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to interact with inter and intra departmental personnel, as well as management. Strong computer skills including Excel, PowerPoint • Successful experiences in negotiating with senior level managers Demonstrated understanding of entire supply chain and cost drivers. Demonstrated data and financial analysis capability Cross functional/organizational project management and facilitation skills (internal and external).
