The design team at wavespace is
composed of agency creatives, UX/UI designers, service designers, business
designers and strategists, along with experience designers. Experiences in wavespace
bring key people together to gain new perspectives, generate intent and
accelerate complex transformations. wavespace supports all sectors and services
in EY. wavespace is the ‘new way of working’ within EY and as such, you should
represent that approach in everything you do. wavespace uses
Design-Thinking-driven techniques to identify opportunities for service and
UX/UI design which is a core competency within the Hong Kong centre.

Your key responsibilities
Reporting
to a wavespace Design Director, the Manager / Senior UX/UI Designer
role is both client and internally facing. They will be primarily
responsible for:

Working with the Business Director, Design
Directors and EY account teams to identify and scope opportunities for UX/UI
design.
·
Using the appropriate design methods and tools to ensure informed and
validated design decisions are made, and high-quality artefacts are delivered.
·
To own the end-to-end project process, supported by and collaborating
with EY and client teams.
·
Facilitate internal and client-facing experience sessions with senior
stakeholders.
·
Produce the relevant design artefacts (incl. personas, wireframes,
journey maps and blueprints, rapid prototypes, UX/UI specifications, pattern
libraries, interaction models etc)
·
Understand and create product / design specifications.
·
Conduct concept and usability testing and gather feedback.
·
Define the right interaction model and evaluate its success.
·
Develop wireframes and rapid prototypes around customer needs.
·
Find creative ways to solve UX problems (e.g. usability, findability).
·
Work with UI designers to implement attractive designs.
·
Communicate design ideas and prototypes to developers.
·
Ensure data forms a strong backbone of any research and validation
(qual/quant/data)
·
Be flexible to join other working experience sessions to using creative
and design thinking techniques.
·
Contribute to the continued development of
the centre, through supporting areas such as methodology development, marketing
and building the pipeline.
·
Supporting the team by assisting with co-ordination of 3rd
parties / external vendors as needed.
·
Work with
the Centre Lead to identify opportunities to evolve the offering into
complimentary spaces where Design can play a broader role.
Skills and attributes for
success

Detail-oriented and open to new ways of thinking and
operating – very flexible in thought process and approach. wavespace is an
evolving experiment, and as such we are constantly trying ‘new approaches’ to
working methods.

firm and client firms to build solid relationships.

Strong coaching skills (mentoring).

To qualify for the role you will
ideally have
·
Approximately 4-8 years of experience working for a consulting
firm, design agency or studio
·
Experience in start-ups, SMEs and fast-paced, dynamic
environments.
·
Strong domain knowledge with breadth in a variety of
complementary areas (T).
·
Strong evidence of strategies that have delivered
valuable business results for clients.
·
Ability to quickly learn and navigate a complex
organization, managing communications and interaction with a variety of
different stakeholders.
·
Bi/tri-lingual.
