Job Position: Consultant – Business Development/ Vendor Acquisition
Reports to: Executive Director
Job Location: Shenzhen, China
Position Summary: The Manager – Business Development/ Vendor Acquisition will be responsible for acquiring compelling vendors across categories for our customers.
Candidates must feel comfortable prospecting, cold-calling, and convincing in person and via phone on both transnational and high value/exposure contracts.
Additionally, the ability to identify, develop and manage a valuable prospect list based on our standard product offerings is appreciated
Plan and support the acquisition process through detailed research, ensuring business plans are a “win-win” for our customers and the Organization.
Key Responsibilities/Accountability & Job Functions:
Develop, seek and close new suppliers consistently to generate growth and revenue
Able to interact with a broad set of business skills and present over the phone, email and in person
Aggressively steer the vendor acquisition and on boarding process for the company
Provide thought leadership, devise roadmaps and strategies to improve sales and company operational efficiencies
Strong track record of high level negotiation and successfully manage internal and external vendor relationships
Guide and manage global team to handle the complete process from lead generation to conversion
Liaison with Merchandising, IT and Operations teams to overcome bottlenecks, if any
Track and monitor performance and sales of key partners

Qualification:
Graduation
Required Candidate Experience:
4 + years of relevant experience
Sound understanding of relevant local and global markets
