Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Senior Construction Manager in managing the development of capital works projects of the Hong Kong Science Park;
  • Project(s) administration and monitor the performance of resident site team, consultants and contractors;
  • Assist in vetting of technical submissions prepared by consultants or contractors;
  • Liaise and coordinate with the project team, facility management team and external stakeholders, such as government departments and utilities companies;
  • Monitor the project(s) safety performance;
  • Attend site meetings and carry out daily site inspections;
  • Prepare site report in respect of the progress, quality and safety of the project(s);
  • Witness on-site and off-site tests and inspections, regular travel to or station in PRC may be required;
  • Upkeep of daily site records and file site documentation;
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor

 

Requirements:

  • Possession of a Bachelor degree or above in civil / structural engineering or related discipline/qualifications. Higher qualification in construction project management is preferred;
  • Member of a recognized local professional institute;
  • lMinimum 6 years of relevant post-qualification working experience in building / civil / structural engineering or related disciplines; Candidates with less experience will be considered for lower position;
  • Self-driven, independent, problem solving with good leadership and interpersonal skill;
  • Experience in managing large scale multi-disciplinary projects from inception, completion and handover including claims and EOT assessment, etc.;
  • Experience in prefabrication process is preferred;
  • Experience in development of R&D offices, industrial buildings and institutional buildings will be an advantage;
  • Knowledge of statutory requirements and procedures for project development in Hong Kong;
  • Skill in design and project management software such as Revit, AutoCAD, BIM and other related computer application will be an advantage;
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
