Amazon's International Consumer Legal Department is looking for a compliance specialist to be based in Beijing and work on restricted and regulated products. You will research, analyze and synthesize complex regulations and help counsels and the business make decisions based on that analysis. You will work with your global counterparts to implement and administer processes and policies that apply the regulatory requirements to product listings of Amazon Global Store. There is a significant project management and workflow coordination component to this role. You may also interact with government officials and handle government contacts.

You must have strong prior work experience, excellent writing skills, a flexible attitude and great organizational skills. In addition, you must be a strong written and verbal communicator, with great attention to detail, and be able to work independently in a constantly changing and sometimes ambiguous environment. You also need strong common sense, great judgment, and a sense of humor. Compensation is based on experience and includes equity-based bonus.

• Prior experience in researching, analyzing and synthesizing laws and regulations
• Prior work experience with a law firm or multi-national company
• Prior experience in reviewing and drafting the legal terms of a broad range of standard commercial contracts
• Prior project management experience in retail, e-commerce or high tech industry
