Responsibilities and roles include but are not limited to

• Work with the Worldwide OPS Team and Sourcing team to drive the recruitment and development of specialized resources for the China market to secure capacity for Lionbridge customers across defined domain segments.

• Provide direct resourcing support to Lionbridge Beijing & Jinan operations.

• Develop (find and qualify) linguists for Chinese Simplified (as source and as target language) to secure capacity, reduce cost and assure high quality deliverables to Lionbridge business.

• Own the relationship with the external resources for Chinese Simplified from the operational and commercial perspective. Negotiate best possible rates on a global level and ensure compliance with all Procurement regulations.

• Search for suitable candidates through both traditional and new resourcing channels (from professional associations to social media platforms to universities).

• Establish and maintain relationships with language institutions and universities in the region, as well as establish networking activities with language professionals.

• Support Localization Operation teams worldwide in resource allocation tailored to specialized programs and projects.

• Coordinate the qualification of resources in line with best resourcing practices and continually evaluate and recommend changes to this process to match evolving industry requirements and business needs.

• Work with Sales, Solutions Architects & Operations teams to ensure proactive recruitment planning, and to help define expectations to ensure business requirements and specialized resourcing needs are met.

• Work with Localization Teams and Worldwide Sourcing team and corporate systems developers to ensure internal resourcing tools are structured for ease of access and visibility into appropriately qualified, experienced and available resources.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of proven resourcing/recruiting/project management experience (Localization industry is a plus) in a global environment.

• Direct experience in working with specialized linguists across a broad range of specializations.

• Strong negotiation skill and ability to proactively work on initiatives

• Strong working knowledge of operations processes.

• Ability to work both independently and in a team to resolve issues quickly and effectively.

• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, team worker and sensitive for cultural differences.

• High level of spoken and written English. Correct communication in tone and style for each situation. Competence in e-mail, report, proposal and presentation.

• Strong experience in MS Office applications. Expert knowledge of MS Excel a plus.

Desirable qualities

• Flexible, imaginative, positive thinking, multi-tasking, proactive, customer-focused and solution-oriented.

• International team work experience is preferred. Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.

• Financial skills: Thorough understanding of basic financial concepts (VAR, Gross Margin, Budgets, etc.).

Measurement criteria

• Quality resources as required to meet operational needs for Chinese Simplified for Lionbridge Localization.

• Monthly reports to capture the Localization outsourcing activity, price reductions, quality reports etc. which reflect KPIs.
