Detailed Description: 
Drives performance improvement at our most critical suppliers by identifying and resolving complex systemic problems. Responsibilities include validation of POs to support demand are accurate, measure / improve supplier Line of Balances (LOB) and past dues (PD), verify raw material and work in process positions, review yield/quality performance, resolve capacity issues, identify tooling gaps and needs, ensure supplier has stable/accurate demand signals and improve supplier look ahead metrics. 
Ensures their assigned suppliers deliver on holistic improvement and drive rapid functional issue resolution. Implement Supplier Recovery / Improvement / standard work used to develop suppliers to perform at World Class levels by improving process capabilities. 
Deploy Supplier Recovery / Development advanced tools of which may include any combination of assessments, training, quality improvements, delivery improvements, capacity improvement, lead-time reductions, Lean, Six Sigma, and / or cost savings. 
Interface wit all levels of the organization, suppliers, and customers regarding supplier performance and improvement actions and processes and be prepared to report out at executive levels on plans and results. 
Create and manage the implementation of strategic projects including project plans, overall tracking capability, reporting of progress within the team and up through leadership. 
Lead and / or participate in cross-functional project teams driving improvements in OTTR, Past Due, Volatility and Linearity at the site. 
Complete root cause analysis and recommend/implement corrective actions where projected results are below plan. Perform analysis of supplier performance using SAP, Rapid Response, and other Celestica databases

 

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:
Good knowledge of an electronics manufacturing environment, material and processes.
Expert understanding and interpretation of traffic and customs rules and regulations.
Knowledge of basic computer applications such as WORD, Excel, PowerPoint and multiple business applications. 
Good understanding of internal and external customer requirements. 
Good financial, analytical, and negotiation skills. 
Ability to identify and resolve high complexity process/system problems using financial, analytical, and/or statistical models. 
Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and working under tight time deadlines. 
Ability to evaluate, prioritize and problem solve a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion. 
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers. 

 

Physical Demands:
Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment. 
Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required. 
Frequent travel may be required. 

 

Typical Experience:
Five plus years of relevant experience. 

 

Typical Education:
Bachelor’s degree in related field, or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience. 
Educational requirements may vary by geography.
