Job Description
Educational Requirements:
Hold a master's degree in civil engineering-related majors. A doctoral degree is preferred.

I. Professional Matching
The major required is civil engineering, including but not limited to specific directions such as structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, bridge and tunnel engineering, disaster prevention and mitigation engineering and protection engineering, civil engineering construction and management.

II. Teaching Ability
Course Teaching
Be able to undertake teaching tasks of core courses of civil engineering major (such as principles of concrete structure design, principles of steel structure design, soil mechanics, foundation engineering, etc.) and professional elective courses (such as seismic design of building structures, high-rise building structure design, etc.). Be proficient in the requirements of course teaching syllabuses and be able to reasonably arrange teaching contents, teaching progress and teaching methods.
Teaching Methods and Means
Be familiar with modern educational technology and be able to use multimedia teaching tools, virtual simulation software and other means for teaching to improve teaching effectiveness. For example, use BIM (Building Information Modeling) software to assist in teaching building structure courses, or conduct soil mechanics experiment teaching through virtual experiment platforms.
Teaching Experience (preferred)
Those with teaching experience in civil engineering major in colleges and universities are preferred. Teachers with teaching experience can better grasp the learning characteristics and needs of students and effectively organize classroom teaching and practical teaching links, such as course design and graduation design. They are also more experienced in teaching process management and teaching quality assessment.

III. Scientific Research Ability
Candidates should have certain scientific research ability and be able to actively apply for and preside over scientific research projects. For example, national natural science fund projects, provincial and ministerial-level scientific research fund projects, etc. For young teachers, they may be required to participate in the projects of scientific research teams and gradually accumulate scientific research experience to prepare for independently applying for projects.
Publication of Academic Papers
Have published a certain number of papers in high-level academic journals in the field of civil engineering. For example, the number of papers published in SCI/EI-indexed journals is one of the important indicators to measure scientific research achievements. The content of papers can involve various research directions of civil engineering major such as structural mechanical property research, development of new building materials, and engineering seismic design methods.
Scientific Research Cooperation and Exchange
Be able to actively participate in academic exchange activities in the field of civil engineering at home and abroad and establish good scientific research cooperation relationships with peers. For example, participate in international civil engineering academic conferences, join relevant professional societies and participate in academic discussion activities, etc., to promote the international development of civil engineering discipline in schools.

IV. Practical Experience
Those with engineering practical experience are preferred. This includes work experience in units such as architectural design institutes, construction enterprises, and engineering consulting companies. For example, having experience as a structural designer or on-site technical person in charge in large-scale construction projects can integrate cases and problems in actual projects into teaching to help students better understand the connection between theoretical knowledge and actual engineering.
Practical Teaching Guidance Ability
Be able to guide practical teaching links of civil engineering major, such as cognitive internship, production internship, graduation internship, etc. Be familiar with actual operation requirements such as safety management, construction process and quality control on engineering sites to provide effective practical guidance for students.
