Key Job Specifications:
• Salary – 12,000-18,000RMB/month (pre-tax)
• Contract Length – 12 months
• Working Hours – 40 hours/week

Qualifications and Requirements:
• 22-55 years of age
• Bachelor’s degree or higher (Education preferred)
• TEFL/TESOL 100+ hours certification minimum (CELTA/DELTA/PGCE/QTS preferred)
• Two years’ experience working with early childhood students
• Have an understanding and ability to teach pupils of all abilities
• Must be able to obtain a cleared background check
• English teaching positions require citizens of UK, USA, Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand or South Africa for visa purposes

Performance Responsibilities:
• Provide professional oral English and children's drawing courses to the students who major in Preschool Education.
• Provide professional oral English teaching courses to the students who major in Hotel Management. The school will provide teaching materials but the teacher can choose their own teaching materials.
• Prepare lessons and PowerPoint presentations, mark students’ assignments and prepare exams.
• Counsel students to participate in technical skills contests.
• Organize English salons and other activities that are conducive to improving students’ oral English.
• Implement and model high standards of work practice and review, critically reflecting, and evaluating own practice.
• Establish clear instructional objectives, making use of core resources and supplementary materials.
• Assess and analyse student progress to inform instruction and provide constructive feedback to promote students’ progress towards standards.
• Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions.
• Respect, appreciate and understand differences in learning and school culture.
• Participate in a culture of professional learning.
• Work cooperatively with colleagues/administrators as it pertains to specific programs.
• Be accountable and a positive advocate for all management decisions.

About Guangdong Country Garden Polytechnic: 
Guangdong Country Garden Polytechnic is sponsored by the Guangdong Province Guoqiang Public Welfare Foundation of Guangdong Province which was established by the chair of the board of Country Garden - Mr. Guoqiang Yang and Vice President - Ms. Huiyan Yang. It is a charitable full-time college which is supervised by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Education. Following Chairman Yang's successful founding of Guohua Memorial Middle School, another charitable venture, he registered and established the Guangdong Province Guoqiang Public Welfare Foundation of Guangdong Province. Guangdong Country Garden Polytechnic was one of its primary initiatives. The college systematically cultivates the skills of the students so that they may serve future economic and social development with their technical skills; it is also hoped that the college will be able to change society's views on higher vocational education, in order to encourage more potential students that would like to study in higher vocational education schools thus improving China's higher education structure. The college is located in a beautiful part of Guangdong called Qingyuan. The campus covers an area of 300 acres and a construction area of 189,000 square meters with advanced learning and living facilities. In 2014, the college enrolled 300 students and opened four majors: hotel management, property management, construction costs, and construction engineering technology. It has since added three more majors: architectural decoration engineering technology, garden engineering technology, and pre-school education. It is expected that within 10 years, the college will open professional courses in architecture, electromechanics, real estate, and management. The purpose of the college is to help disadvantaged students with elite education in order to serve their future communities.
