Job Description

Position: Sales Manager of Oracle Cloud Broad-market, Oracle, Digital Prime  

‘Oracle Cloud Broad-market’ sales organization sells all Oracle cloud solutions and services to a broad enterprise and midmarket landscape.
The role of Sales Director(Manager) in Oracle Cloud Broad-market requires strong field sales management experience to ensure focus on consistent results delivery and lead team smoothly through the sales cycle. This position must have strong organizational and planning skills and experience to orchestrate right loading of the team with a mix of hunting/closing/business development activities.

The Cloud Sales Manager will have the opportunity to define, evolve and develop new sales teams and business model to meet (and exceed) business goals and expectations.

SCOPE:

 ·      Reports to Senior Sales Director of Oracle Cloud Broad-market

·      Responsible for the sales team of the dedicated geography located in the hub

·      Carries a team sales quota for a defined product set

·      Works towards annually agreed goals and objectives

 

The key responsibilities of the role will include, but not limited to :

  • Lead one of the Cloud Sales Team of sales representatives as a 1st line manager
  • Actively participate as a sales leader in strategic and tactical planning for Oracle Cloud Broad-market
  • Support sales team in the sales cycle by personal participation with the customers and partners
  • Develop strategic and collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders from various teams internally/externally to develop joint territory / account plans
  • Drive Sales programs execution in order to address identified target markets
  • Responsibility for the team´s Demand Generation and Campaign Management
  • Conduct accurate sales forecast, successful territory planning, demand generation, deal strategy development and trend analysis for the team
  • Set goals, objectives and KPI’s, and review/monitor the performance of sales team and take action to ensure targets and business objectives are achieved
  • Responsible for coaching, performance management, and career development of sales representatives

 

Qualification Requirements:

  • 10+ years of direct sales experience in technology-based company
  • 2+ years of people management/leadership experience in an IT solution sales environment
  • Strong track record of sales accomplishment, successfully achieving revenue goals and objectives
  • Proven leadership and coaching skills in managing direct sales team
  • Excellent knowledge of software solutions and demonstrated experience in interpersonal skills and influencing customer buying decisions
  • Proven ability to engage with senior business executives, understand and effectively respond to customers issues and build credibility, confidence in Oracle’s capabilities
  • Capable of handling complex sales situations, negotiating for the best win and ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Ability to build and maintain strong collaborative partnership with internal/ external stakeholders
  • Ability to excel in a high-energy, fast-paced environment, quarterly-results driven sales culture
  • Strong listening, verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal/influencing skills
  • Fluency in English is essential

The primary focus is to plan, manage and develop a team of OD Prime Sales Representatives. Develops and implements a comprehensive strategy that maximizes Oracle's opportunities across a subset of products, product lines or services directly or via partners to small-and medium sized accounts.

Manages a team of OD Prime Sales Representatives/Managers for a territory/region. Participates as a team member in strategic and tactical planning for the division. Develops working relationships with license, consulting, education, and/or support field managers to develop joint account plans. Develops and executes strategic plans utilizing resources from various marketing and sales functions to maximize revenue with frequent guidance from the area manager or director. Responsible for coaching, performance management, and career development of staff. Handles escalations and participates directly in complex sales situations to negotiate and/or resolve disputes and ensure customer satisfaction. Conducts sales forecasts, territory planning, demand generation, deal strategy development and trend analysis.

Manages and controls activities in multi-functional areas of sections. Ensures appropriate operational planning is effectively executed to meet business needs. Thorough understanding of Oracle's products and services. Ability to lead sales team in all areas of the sales cycle. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to negotiate price, other concessions and terms and conditions. Strong quantitative, analytical, and conflict resolution ability. Degree in Business or Computer Science preferred with 5 - 7 years sales or sales management experience.
