Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients. Ability to travel as needed.

 

• Proficiency in all DBA responsibilities (both cloud and on-premise) such as Oracle Database Installation, RAC, ASM, Configuration, Upgrades, Patches, Backup (Cold and Hot), Recovery, Cloning, Space management, Database Security, Auditing, Troubleshooting, Database Design, SR support
• 5 or more years’ experience in supporting production databases with high-availability in 24/7 environments
• 5 or more years’ experience with Unix and Linux
• Shell scripting is a plus
• Experienced in using RMAN utility for backups and restorations
• Proficient in capturing AWR reports, analyzing them and making performance improvement recommendations
• At least two years’ work experience in SQL & performance tuning
• Good understanding of relational database design and normalization
• Experience with ITIL Service Delivery and Service Support functions (Change Management, Release Management, Incident Management, Problem Management etc.) is a plus
• Knowledge in Middleware administration including WebLogic, SOA and Golden Gate is a plus
