This role will be the Cloud Application Technology (CATA) in the Nordics.

 

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

 

The main overall objective for Oracle’s Cloud Applications Technical Architects (CATA) is to maximize the impact from Technology on sales of Software as a Service (SaaS) Applications. Through the ability to design a Technical Architecture supporting the Business Solution Architecture delivering a seamlessly integrated customer experience.

The Oracle Cloud Applications Technical Architect is a subject matter expert in multiple application domains like ERP/EPM/SCM for technology, data & information, integration, security, cloud computing, mobile, analytics and emerging technologies. The Oracle Cloud Applications Technical Architect will help determine which Oracle technologies to leverage in customer driven architectures.

As part of the overall community the Oracle Applications Cloud Architect will contribute to the different communities which he/she is part of. He/she will focus on delivering Innovation by imagining creative solutions for customers delivering a clear business benefit and differentiating Oracle Software as a Service Solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Advise CIO/CTO/EA level contacts and their teams as they look to move their business to a cloud architecture
  • Present Oracle's technology & infrastructure, including demonstrating deep familiarity with company's hosting infrastructure, security and integration capabilities
  • Understand the customer needs and establish a best fit solution that addresses the technical and business requirements of the customer.
  • Lead the demo building preparation and present customer driven demos to diverse audiences representing the capabilities of the Oracle Cloud Platform
  • Conduct architecture and technical workshops that may include enablement sessions
  • Manage customer technical due diligence and risk management processes
  • Assist sales teams in responses to RFXs and technical requirements documents
  • Participate in all appropriate product, sales, and procedural training and certification to acquire and maintain the knowledge necessary to be effective in the position
  • Inform customers/prospects on the newest emerging technologies and how they will create value & competitive differentiation.

 

WHAT SKILLS DO YOU NEED?

 

  • A strong understanding of the architectural principals of cloud-based platforms including SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS

  • Understanding of cloud offerings in the market and ability to discuss cloud architectures

  • A good understanding of enterprise application integration, including SOA, ESB, ETL environments and an understanding of integration considerations such as process orchestration, customer data integration and master data management.

  • A strong understanding of the security processes, standards & issues involved in cloud applications.

  • Architectural and usage experience of Web Services and emerging solutions such as mobile

  • Some basic understanding of programming language is desirable but not a must.

  • Experience in cloud-based applications technology, including but not limited to integration, customization, extension and configuration is preferred. 

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for a group with high degree of comfort speaking with IT management, Architects, administrators and executives.

  • Networking skills

  • Drive and resilience with an ability to self-manage activities.

  • Ability to translate complex customer needs into business solutions

  • Interest in emerging technologies.

     

     

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least Moderate knowledge of business applications and key ERP & SCM business processes.

  • Experience working as a pre-sales and/or consultant in enterprise transformation projects.

  • Understanding of Oracle’s Cloud strategy and the Software as a Service marketplace

  • Sales methodology knowledge, including processes and disciplines

  • Ability to apply technologies to create business innovations.

  • Experience in applying design thinking techniques and customer journey mappings is a plus

  • Fluent English. (Nordic languages are a plus)

  • Travel within the Nordics is required

  • A minimum of 6 years relevant experience.

 

 


!|!Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.

As a Principal Sales Consultant you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and leading presales technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Acts as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced Sales Consultants. Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions. Develops productivity tools and training for other Sales Consultants. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Leads any and all aspects of the technical sales process. Advises internal and external clients on overall architect solutions.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 3 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 7 years business experience with relevant computer applications or database/tools. Ability to implement the most advanced product features. Thorough knowledge of system and application design. In depth knowledge of competitors. Demonstrated project management skills. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills\: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication. Ability to travel as needed. A/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.
