A ccount A cquisition – identifying potential bar, restaurant and hotel clients in the assigned market or region and establishing contact with key decision-markers, achieving personal new account opening targets
N eed Identification – developing an understanding of each account’s true needs, whether in products, service or other support and keeping the 20 Pillar framework in mind
Account sales – achieving personal sales targets and contributing to achievement of team sales targets, preparing and making commercial proposals to new and existing accounts for product placements and services fees, preparing and editing sales and service contracts in Chinese and English
Account management – maintaining and improving our relationship with all accounts in the assigned market or region through visits, deliver positive, responsive, WeChat, phone and face-to-face customer service, coordinating and managing broader House of Proof resource support
Order Processing – receiving orders from clients via WeChat and email and converting to sales order emails to the assigned Sales Admin
Sales Mix Management – optimising placements and volumes in alignment with Annual Brand Plans and other portfolio goals, identify cross-sales opportunities for the Sarment wine team
Accounts Receivable – actively follow up with clients on overdue amounts per weekly A/R report, coordinate necessary information or documentation for collections, escalate to the spirits evangelist and/or leadership where necessary
Product Introductions – organise and conduct tastings and other product viewings onsite at accounts at the Sarment x Proof offices
Brand Management – assist the assigned Brand Manager and/or Spirits Evangelist in organising and executing brand events, hosting visitors and coordinating any brand and other marketing activities in accounts, acting as Brand Manager when assigned a portfolio brand
Product Knowledge – develop detailed knowledge of all core products and maintain active interest in the product categories and related bar industry information
Team Participation – attend weekly team WIP, one=on-one meetings with team leadership, periodic team workshops and other planning session
Information Housekeeping – keeping detailed notes of client interactions and posting to Basecamp, maintain comprehensive filing of all documents to Baidu, responding promptly to all emails and maintaining organised email filing, maintain the Spirits Team Dashboard per assigned responsibilities, respond promptly and accurately to requests for information from other departments
Other Duties – Other reasonable duties as assigned from time to time by the Team Lead in the assigned market
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 3 years of the relevant business development and sales experience
Excellent negotiation skills and result-driven personality
Sales experience in spirits industry is a plus
Has spirits customer data base in the relevant working region, know customer expectations is a plus
Good knowledge of spirits and brand(s) is an advantage
Open communication and collaboration ability
Sales ethics and sensitivity to legal issues and competition law
A good team player to achieve company’s sales target
Good English & Chinese both spoken and written
