About Forest City International School

Summary
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Mandarin language teacher to teach Mandarin as a second language to students of varying skill levels. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong proficiency in the Mandarin language. Responsibilities include creating lesson plans, delivering engaging and interactive lessons, assessing student progress, and providing feedback to students to help them improve their language skills.
Responsibility
• Teach Chinese as mother language and second language
• Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the needs and skill levels of students
• Collaborate with other teachers to create engaging and interactive learning activities to enhance students' language acquisition
• Assess student progress through quizzes, tests, and assignments
• Provide feedback to students on their language skills and areas for improvement
• Encourage students to practice speaking, listening, reading, and writing in Mandarin
• Engage in Chinese culture events for promotion of language and culture, develop and implement teaching and learning approaches which are both emergent and structured and will enrich the learning experiences for the children in both Mandarin and Chinese Culture.
• Stay up-to-date on current trends and best practices in language teaching, contribute widely to excellent curricular planning, implementation and review in the following areas
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Mandarin language, education, or related field; Master degree preferred
• Minimum 5 years of experience working in teaching Mandarin as a second language
• Native proficiency in Mandarin
• Ability to create engaging and interactive lesson plans
• Knowledge of language teaching techniques and methodologies
• Ability to work effectively with students of varying skill levels
• Willing to work in Malaysia at least 2 years.
