Job Description

The Centre Manager is responsible for maintaining the total operations of their assigned centre. S/he will also perform outstanding customer services and maximize profits by controlling expenses. On the other hand, upholding the ethos and values of the centre, ensuring our children enjoy their learning in a safe environment.

 

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

General Operations

In collaboration with the Chinese & English Head Techer

  • to assist the Deputy General Manager in handling the daily operations of the center
  • to assist the Deputy General Manager in establishing good rapport with parents
  • to assist the Deputy General Manager in building a professional and collaborative teaching team
  • in the absence of the Deputy General Manger, to be responsible for the centre’s overall operations
  • to assist the management team of continuous enhancement of centre quality
  • Adhoc assignment if required

 

Centre Operations & Customer Services

  • Coordinate & monitor day to day logistic activities and centre operations including manpower arrangement, class scheduling, reporting, customer services, inventory (learning materials), etc
  • Act as a key contact point between centre and management office
  • Maintain and set an example of excellent internal and external customer services
  • Resolve parents’ issue, in an efficient and quick manner
  • Maintain workspace and classrooms are good in order and condition
  • Analyse workflow issue and process improvement
  • Sensitive towards children’s needs and able to build up good relationship with parents
  • To provide full range of administrative support to front line (Admin)
  • Work closely with Head Teacher to maximize enrolment by managing class schedule and all service area

 

Business Management

  • Participate in business expansion such as centre opening projects
  • Create and maintain an atmosphere that is focused on achieving enrolment and profit goals
  • Work closely with Deputy General Manager and analyse and review goal attainment; develop strategies to improve performance
  • Promote courses to potential customers to achieve satisfactory enrolment

 

Marketing & Events

  • Work closely with Marketing team for marketing plan and schedule for all events
  • Participate in marketing activities
  • Utilize and maintain parent’s database for phone calls, events and appointment in conjunction with the centre’s workshop and seminars


Human Resources & Development

  • To inspire, motive, counsel and, where necessary, to discipline subordinates as appropriate
  • To ensure the proper standards of professional performance are established and maintained
  • Participate on interview panels as appropriate
  • Provide clear constructive feedback on a regular basis to subordinate concerning their job performance
  • Identify and engage in professional conversations of professional development needs of staff
  • Provide on-going training to empower subordinate to run the businesses successfully
  • Initiate strong internal relation to encourage healthy business development

 

Communications & Attributes

  • To establish and maintain excellent communication throughout the centre, internally and externally
  • To build relationships with parents and to ensure excellent communication between the centre and the parent body, both individually and collectively
  • Develop and maintain effective professional partnerships with others
  • Be able to work collaboratively with other staff members
  • Strive for honesty and integrity
  • Demonstrate a high level of organisational skills
  • Have an ability to adapt to a new and changing environment

 

Requirement

  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience including 1-2 years in supervisory position in operations
  • Excellent in both written and spoken English and Chinese communication (including Mandarin)
  • Good understanding and experienced in early childhood education
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong customer intimacy
  • Love interacting with children
  • Able to work in fast paced working environment
  • A team player with initiative, energetic, flexible and good interpersonal skills
  • Creative, self-motivated, patient, responsible
