Maximise cargo uplift through exceptional customer service and delivery of operational, capacity and load planning excellence.


Key Outputs:

  • Operational Excellence


  • Ensure available capacity is fully maximised
  • Pre plan scheduled and adhoc fights by;

  • Ensure maximum payload and cube is available on service

  • Ensure all supply contractors are aware of arrival / departure times and available to perform required tasks


  • Ensure the efficient handling of all import and export cargo
  • Transhipment handling, building of relationship with key stakeholder involved, such as CIQ and related Government bodies
  • Ensure all cargo carried and handled meets; Air New Zealand and all regulatory approvals
  • Keeping abreast with Industry development and handling knowledge, particularly when it involves operational safety
  • Ensure all flight paperwork is processed accurately and meets all regulatory requirements
  • Ensure cargo handled and our business activity meets the regulatory requirements on all occasions; conduct required self-audit on GHA and suppliers as and when it is required
  • Effective communication with GHA and Airport teams
  • Ensure ULD inventory maintained to meet all commercial requirements
  • Ensure all Supply Contractors provide correct standard of service as per the SLA’s
  • Action all administration requirements after flight departure
  • Maintain accurate data in the Cargo Operating System
  • Customer Service & Relationship Management
  • Implement Customer Relationship Management and sales/marketing strategies to achieve a sustainable and profitable growth for Air New Zealand Cargo


  • Building long term relationship approach with key accounts to ensure their loyalty and commitment
  • Bring new business opportunities
  • Retention and protection of existing market share and revenues
  • Monitor Customer Service Standards and take action as necessary to rectify any performance issues
  • Administration, Career Development, project work


Qualification


. Tertiary qualification in a business discipline with additional certificate on Cargo Handling preferable


. Some related experience in the airline industry or freight forwarding, or preferably 5+ years working in the cargo business industry

. Proficiency in English and Microsoft Excellence

. Excellent product, route, and logistic industry knowledge and ability to establish strong business relationship with key suppliers and customers
