Our location in Lake Forest, Illinois currently has an opportunity for a Capital Planning Finance Supervisor.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Core Lab Diagnostics has a new opening for a Finance Supervisor, Capital Planning within the Operations Finance Headquarters team. This role will be responsible for leading the overall capital planning process for the business, which includes the Annual Plan, quarterly Latest Best Estimates (LBEs), and analysis of monthly Actuals. Additionally, this role provides exposure to the P&L and Balance Sheet through supporting the Engineering organization. This role offers a unique opportunity to interact with all functions of the Core Lab Diagnostics business (Commercial, Operations, Quality, and R&D), in addition to Corporate FP&A.

Major Responsibilities Include

• Lead the end-to-end capital planning process (Annual Plan / LBEs) for Core Lab Diagnostics from the development of the calendar of deliverables to the submission of Corporate schedules to Division Finance Headquarters.

• Analyze monthly Capital Expenditure Actuals and prepare commentary on variance drivers versus the required benchmarks (Plan / LBE).

• Support the broader Core Diagnostics organization in preparation of clear and concise RCEs to streamline the management approval process.

• Serve as the finance support for the Engineering organization through ownership of the P&L and Balance Sheet forecasting cycles.

• Complete various ad hoc analysis and support as needed to effective management decision making.

Education and Experience You’ll Bring

Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance

• 5-7 years of progressive Accounting/Finance experience

• Prior experience with Symphony/SAP, HFM, and TM1 (or other financial planning system)

Preferred

• Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills as this role interacts with multiple parts of the organization as well as division leadership

• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to indirectly influence others

• Highly motivated with a desire to innovate and drive meaningful process improvements

• Strong Excel skills

• Experience with SAP

• Prior Project Accounting experience
