- Promote high standards of appearance and cleaning service in all canteen areas for staff and visitors.
- Ensure tables are wiped and floor is swept
- Before lunch and periodically throughout the day, record temperatures. Also, collate and record staff numbers
- Ensure blue roll is fully stocked at all times
- Re-stock mugs and tumblers, at all times there should be 1 shelf of tumblers and 1 shelf of mugs available
- Re-stock clean plates and soup bowls
- Ensure napkins are readily available for colleague use
- Ensure condiments are full, check salt and pepper shakers and sauce bottles
- Ensure salads, yoghurts, bread, butter and fruit are fully stocked at all times
- Dress salad bar with tablecloth
- Ensure serving cutlery is in place prior to lunch and dinner service
- Assist in the preparation of food as required
Work Experience
- High school education
- Additional certification(s) from a reputable Culinary school will be an advantage
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity
- Good reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language
- Ability to speak other languages and basic understanding of local languages will be an advantage
