Job Description

As a Customer Engineer, you will be required to conduct or participate in multidisciplinary research, and collaborate with design, development and architecture teams to determine the computer user needs, and advise about machine characteristics that affect software systems (such as storage capacity, and input/output requirements, utility programs, and operating systems). The main aspect will be to responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education, judgement, and formal software process. CCG CCE (Client Customer Engineering) organization we support Intel's customers (The OEMs: Apple, Dell, HP, MSFT(Surface), etc.) helping them integrate, validate, manufacture, and launch their platforms. CCE Firmware team is responsible for the chipset firmware technologies such as secure boot, platform fusing and clocking, active management technology (the basis for vPro) integrated sensor hub, and more.

The CCE FW Enablement Technologist will work with our customer engineers in providing them with releases, ensuring customer issues are addressed, provide customer collaterals, and provide customer trainings. You will also work directly with Intel's customers supporting their design-in of the new Intel CSME programs. In addition you could be responsible for setting the technical direction and architectural design of a customer, ecosystem software vendor, and/or open source community software project. You would evaluate ecosystem technology readiness and designs end-to-end solutions architectures to customer/ecosystem problems, including any required changes to HW and SW. The candidate would also make high level design choices for the software structure, frameworks, protocols, and algorithms. Determine validation requirements. Perform pathfinding and surveys technologies. Interact with technologists across Intel and within the industry, and with developers and project managers to evaluate feasibility of requirements, determine priorities for development, and with customers to communicate IA solutions and identify customer gaps to set engineering direction.


Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Masters degree in Computer science or Computer Engineering - Strong technical skills: 6+ years of experience in software development, validation, enabling or technical support. Experience with BIOS or security firmware and advantage - Excellent People skills. Strong communication and presentation skills. Self-driven and ability to multitask effectively - Excellent English - Additional advantages: Customer experience, experience to effectively work and communicate with architecture, engineering, and customers on product requirements.
