Job Description
The CSIS Sr Analyst is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Excellent communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits. Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct data-driven analyses and prepare reports; apply quantitative data analysis methods; prepare statistical and non-statistical data exploration in relation to transactional data as well as internal business indicators
- Proactively analyze threats that create a risk to the company, its employees, shareholders, assets and clients
- Identify and report on operational events and trends, tactical assessments of current and future threats, operational, tactical and strategic recommendations to counter those threats
- Create and/or automate dashboards, scorecards, key performance indicator (KPI) metrics and additional recurring data needs by designing and implementing innovative reporting tools.
- Develop, analyze and report key performance indicators (KPIs) and key risk indicators (KRIs) for the existing business model
- Ensure these KPIs and KRIs are aligned to the business model and modified in lines with changing business objectives
- Deliver quality reports by cleaning and testing data and escalating complex issues to troubleshoot errors and ensure valid information.
- Drive the implementation of reporting tools by monitoring industry trends and best practices, leading data testing, and providing subject matter expertise to train team on appropriate new tools
- Take ownership in projects and make suggestions for improvement
- Proactively work to identify, communicate, and resolve project issues and risks that interfere with project execution
- Demonstrate leadership to business partners, act as a mentor to less-tenured staff; and utilize effective communication skills to influence others.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of experience
- Undergraduate degree in a STEM major (US Only)
- Experience in open source intelligence, intelligence targeting, or have worked in law enforcement intelligence community
- Technical experience solving big data challenges
- Experience in managing variable and complex projects simultaneously and executes daily duties with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated experience to collect, organize, analyze, evaluate, and interpret complex data with a fundamental understanding and application of analytical techniques, including estimating, forecasting, and/or predictive modeling experience
- Relevant analytical experience
- Certifications from EC-Council, GIAC, (ISC)² [CISSP, C/EH, GCIA, CCNA] or graduate certification(s) in relevant technical or specialty areas
- Depending on the role: General understanding of I.T. network and application analysis; experience in open source media and utilizing visualization software applications. Specifically link analysis e.g. Link Explorer, I-2 or ESRI; experience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, and Data Marts/Data Warehouses; excellent programming and statistical/data analytical skills (VBA, R, Python)
- Experience with SAS
